| Mixing Law and Grace | | The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.KJV
Thank God we are a part of the wild olive branch that was grafted into that promise and are fellow heirs with those that preceded us that kept the law by faith. Faith is the natural way, works are inherent to the fallen man. Every time men make up a new religion they mix a little faith in Grace with Law and works trying to please everyone.
He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me? KJV
I was not seeking glory or claiming perfection in the law in a previous thread. I mistakenly thought we were praising God for his work in delivering us from the law of sin and death and writing His laws in our hearts.
What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone KJV
For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.KJV

Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Christ in you the Hope of Glory, Amen
Colossians 1:27-29 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
Colossians 3:1-4 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Outside of the body of Christ we were spiritually dead aliens, with out hope.
In Christ we are spiritually alive and complete through faith of the operation of God.
KJV-And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power in whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.KJV
We have faith in the operation of God and not in our will or our flesh. Our carnal death should be forgotten and our focus should be on our spiritual resurection with Christ in His body.
"It is just, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus".
Yes and thank you Jesus.

Amen, Self righteousness is inherent to faith in self works same as we all once did. Striving for self righteousness and making a show of perfection is trying to convince men, not God. The self righteousness put their faith in shadows and examples that spoke of the righteousness of Christ and the glory that was to be ours at His coming. Self resurrection and transformation is not with-in our capabilities.. Eddie _________________ Eddie

I love it, Amen
Can we add? 1 Corinthians 1:30-31 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
