| Re: | | Yes, Sermonindex.net was the first time I had ever heard of Ten Shekels and a Shirt by Paris Reidhead. I have lost count as to how many times I have listened to that sermon. I have lost count of the number of people I have recommended that sermon to.
The sermon utterly changed my way of thinking about "The Ministry"... and now, today over a year later from the first time hearing that message, "whenever" I hear people talk about loving Ministry and being "called" to be a Minister, I automatically ask them, "Why???" and sadly, most have hearts for "Ministry" or for "People" more than they do for Jesus and His Cross Blood and Sacrifice.
It is a sermon that will "suddenly HIT you" as you are listening...and you will never be the same again!

This was my reaction as well. 3 years ago it dropped me to the floor. I couldnt get low enough. It is a wonderful thing to be prostrate in the presence of our King. This message truly serves up a heapin helpin of humility. I have returned many times for more. I think of this message ever time I begin to question my motives. Something we should all do daily
die to self

I can't access YouTube where I am at right now. Is this the video of the actual sermon or just a transcript with audio? _________________ Josh Parsley

No, it isn't a video of the sermon, but the audio with a picture of Paris Reidhead. |

| Re: | | Hi Greg...
The first time that I heard this sermon was here at SermonIndex (shortly before becoming a member). In fact, this message was one of the reasons that I kept coming back for more!
I don't know how many times I have heard this message since 2003, but I feel that same "holy weight" upon me every time. Interestingly, I feel this same sort of "weight" when I hear many of the messages available at this website. These messages (such as "Ten Shekels and a Shirt" and those from Brother Ravenhill) have helped mold me tremendously over the past several years. This is why I feel that SermonIndex is a treasure in a barren online wilderness!
May the Lord continue to bless this ministry and allow it to bring this message (and other messages) of spiritual awakening to people around the world!
