I just would like to recommend these books, to any Christian going through a dry period in their relationship with the Lord; or battling with thoughts of their status with the Lord:"Grace Abounding to the Chiefest Sinner" by John Bunyan"When I don't desire God" by John PiperThese are awesome
I am there right now bro again, where it seems as though I am more and more useless, and filled with a helplessness.....OH my friends if I had wings .......
I've never read the John Piper book, so maybe thats one for me to get in the year. However I completly agree that Bunyan's 'Grace Abounding' is excellent!I find it so amazing that this great man of God, who the Lord used to write such amazing and inspired books like Pilgrims Progress and The Holy war considered himself so wretched and even seriously questioned his own salvation.Indeed it is so often the case that the closer we get to God the more aware we are of the sheer multitudes of sin in our lives and just how far we fall short of His glory.
