Every part of the Law that is kept by a persons own righteousness works, takes away that portion of the Cross. So how much Law and ordinances and commandments do you want to keep.
Don't loose the power of the Cross in the keeping of the fourth commandment as and example. This Sabbath keeping used as a Law as unto righteousness takes away that much of the Cross in our lives. The Sabbath is a wonderful day, but if we use it as our righteous works for God, He is saying what have you done with My Cross and My Son by proportioning commandments, ordinances and laws by keeping the Sabbaths days as our righteousness before God. Let us not forsake the assembling of ourselves in the Body of Christ His Church because of His Cross and our Love for Him, but not because it is the fourth commandment. However much you use the Law is the amount you reduce the Cross of Christ.
Luk 13:14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath [days]:
Gal 6:12 As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.
Col 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, [I say], whether [they be] things in earth, or things in heaven.
Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Which can only be accomplished in Christ and His Grace by faith done in the Body of Christ His Church being baptized into Him. Oh, what a Savior.
