 Loyalty creates a man

Psalm 72:5
Loyalty creates a man

Let them fear You while the sun endures, and as long as the moon, throughout all generations. Psalm 72:5

1. Loyalty creates and gives birth to a good man. But a broken spirit dries up the bones.
A king’s pursuit for godliness, with all the things such a word truly implies, induces respect. A king’s labours and efforts to bring full range deliverance to the poor and needy generate loyalty. Mature intercessors provide the climate in which a ruler will find himself inclined to take on such a challenge. Government and rulership are heavenly instalments assigned to grant and guarantee a setting in which godliness will take root and prosper.
The role of an intercessor finds its basic definition in the relation to rulers. First of all, prayer is loyalty to God. Secondly, intercession is practical loyalty to men in positions of authority, in sustaining them amidst their efforts in fulfilling their role as protectors of the moral mechanisms which propels godliness.

 Re: Loyalty creates a man

2. Law, the good law of Life, should be found in the mouth of a king. But the king’s mouth is not the law. A divine decision is in the lips of the king; his mouth should not err in judgment. Proverbs 16:10. When Gentiles, who do not have the Law, instinctively do the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves, in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them. Romans 2:14-15. The blood of Jesus Christ is meant to work over man’s conscience. It judges and corrects motives and it brings a heart back to the good law. The blood is given unto man for the forgiveness of sin and for the full restoration unto godliness.
The precious blood of Christ is to be handled in a priestly environment. Priests go between. Priests stand in the gap. Priests are reaching out, breaching gaps. Intercessors learn to identify with the object of intercession. Prayer is loyalty. If a king judges the poor with truth, his throne will be established forever. Proverbs 29:14. Intercessors have the power to touch man’s conscience; they pave the way for truth and they establish thrones. Never curse a king, Ecc 10:20. Rather, pray for light: In the light of a king’s face is life, and his favour is like a cloud with the spring rain. Proverbs 16:15.

 Re: Loyalty creates a man

3. Loyalty, covenant loyalty - Prov 20:28, NASV - and truth preserve the king, and he upholds his throne by righteousness. Praying for companions who share your own opinions is easy and simple. Praying for the likeable and winning is all too easy. The party spirit strangles sound judgment. The agreeableness of your favourite lulls you to sleep and takes out the agony and effectiveness form your intercession. True loyalty allows you to, and makes you able to pray for your enemies. Disagreement puts back the sense of necessity into your intercession and restores it into a tool in God’s hand. To put it on a sharp edge, enemies are gifts from the Lord to help you to develop godliness.
Intercessors compromise their calling by forgetting that the very mark of the presence of the Holy Spirit is holiness. Likewise, intercessors become a contradiction when they welcome the Spirit of prayer but turn down the Spirit of grace. Hate sin, but never allow hate to grow towards any man - especially not a ruler. Respect and loyalty create an open climate. Godly fear is neither linked to horror and panic nor a mode of servility. Godly fear might be defined in a simple way as dignified servanthood.

4. Together with the ruler, the intercessors share in a truly royal privilege, namely in the fear of the King of kings. Submission and loyalty are necessities for sharing in that privilege. Leadership and government exists for the sole reason of the establishment of godliness. The ministry of a ruler before God will be summed up as efforts aiming at optimising the possibilities for good for its people, Rom 13:4.
As an example, listen to the Government of the Kingdom Swaziland in the following Mission statement: ”The Mission of the Government of the Kingdom of Swaziland is to provide a climate and infrastructure that will progressively maximise the quality and the security of life of the people of Swaziland and make the best use of the country’s natural and human resources”. This statement brings the will of the Lord down to a practical level of procedure in which efforts and results may be measured in handy – yet indeed spiritual and prophetic – categories. God is not religious or flimsy – He is relevant, and intercession has to move together with Him in practical care among the poor and needy. Intercessors have to go to the gutter and at least have a look. Some will stay there to live together with the ones who have God’s full attention. Intercessors have to learn to move with sober minds among the leaders of our nations.

 Re: Loyalty creates a man

5. Fatherhood produces loyalty. A word for the end time: Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the LORD. He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and smite the land with a curse. Malachi 4:5-6.
Fatherhood reflects things to come, a taste of the powers of the coming age. But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. Malachi 4:2. The realm of the Covenant holds the possibilities and potential of godliness. First priority prayer, 1Tim 2:1-4, opens for rulers, even at this late point in time, to turn the tide and become prophetically competent rather than being politically correct.

 Re: Loyalty creates a man

6. Time itself declares loyalty, faithfulness and covenant consciousness to be tools to cover a ruler, Jer 33:20. One generation shall declare to another, even one day shall tell the next. Redeem time, redeem the continuity. Loyalty is somewhat like time itself, a continuum which holds the opportunity of godliness. Intercession redeems time, redeems the opportunity for any ruler to rule justly and to open up for the fear of the Lord. Loyalty creates a man. Loyalty gives birth to a righteous ruler.

END
