You thought things were going bad?

A sister in the Lord told me today that her husband left her last week...took $15,000 from the bank wrote a note to say goodbye while she was at the hospital for her dad who was going through major surgery for cancer...and the surgery he had done last week was moved up a week because her sisters husband was killed in a car accident. And her daughter is in terrible health with diabetes. Her Mom is in bad health too.

And you think you had a bad week! :-(

This let me know what I go through so, so small with some of my financial woes.

Plus I just listened to man from Sudan brought to the USA (christian man) who was beaten beyond words...scars on his face for his faith in the Lord...also telling about others being raped and beaten ect...
I sat there and listned about what was happening to christians their while sitting in my big recliner. I thought know wonder why we dont have revival!!
Its funny to hear arguments on here while brothers and sisters in the Lord as YOU read this and as I write this are being beaten and raped and killed, persecuted beyond belief and are all alone...know one to help them...and we weep not?
I was thinking that Jesus is seeing and hearing them in a real struggle and at the same time he see's me in a big fat recliner chair all comfortable and warm wondering whats for dinner in my fully stocked kitchen?

These christians in Sudan have no christian books to read or sermons to hear or conferences about revival or wonder if they should fast today or read christian forums on the internet....they know what I dont know...the sufferings of Christ!!!

This is very sad. Whilst making that observation, I also know our sister will find the Lord her strength and her salvation, her leader and her Friend above all others.

I thought about this kind of thing earlier today, and wondered how I'd bear up. I decided it is not a matter to dwell on.

In the past, I've suffered from such an emotional deficiency, that it seems I soon reached overload. As a result, I've tried to stay within the remit God gives me, for the sake of sanity.

Jaron has been begging us to go help take Bibles into China - which he has been called to do. It seems there is a balance, and it's not a mixture. It is a matter of knowing God's word on one's life for today, and walking that out to the full. He is well able to burden those who are willing to go, with a specific task, as much as to burden those who don't think of themselves as fit to go, and to change them through their obedience.

We might need to ask the Lord why He is not sending us, and offer our imperfect selves afresh and without condition, to hear Him speak.
