" the woman and the seed of the woman"

Who exactly is the " woman clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet, and a crown of 12 Stars" spoken of in Rev 12?

And who is the " seed or remant" of this woman that the dragon goes after?

Re: " the woman and the seed of the woman"

Hello and I hope this will shed some light

BlazedbyGod
“Who exactly is the " woman clothed with
the sun and the moon under her feet, and
a crown of 12 Stars" spoken of in Rev 12?”

Eddie-Israel was the estranged wife of God, her husband(Ishi) (Hosea 2).and Judea and the eleven other stars (tribes) was Israel and the eleven other stars were made made to bow to Judea.

BlazedbyGod
“And who is the " seed or remant"
of this woman that the dragon goes after?”

Eddie-Ammi “ my people”, a name given by Jehovah to the people of Israel (Hos. 2:1, 23. Comp. 1:9; Ezek. 16:8;

A remnant of God’s people escaped the city of Jerusalem when the great spiritual whore BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH was destroyed by fleeing to Decapoils, a district on the east and south-east of the Sea of Galilee containing "ten cities," which were chiefly inhabited by Greeks.to which the Christians fled just before the destruction of Jerusalem

They are now called the children of the living God Rom. 9: 25, 26; 1 Pet. 2:10)..

 Re:

Let's have another look at Revelation 12.

This woman bore a male child, verse 5, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron, and was caught up to God and His throne.

Verse 17 tells us the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Nowhere in Hosea 2 does Israel bow down to Judea as Eddie said, maybe it is elsewhere in the Bible, if so, where?

In commentaries, they refer to the remnant or seed as the Church. I think verse 17 verifies this.

Eddie mentioned Comp 1:9, which sounds like its from the apocrypha.

As for the great whore, spoken of in Revelation 17, many refer to as Rome, or the Roman Catholic system, who was drunk with the blood of the saints, Rev 17v6.

Run out of time. That's all I have for now.

God bless.

1 Chronicles 5
1. Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.
2. For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph's:)

Eddie- The Bible disagrees.
Matthew 23:
34. Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
35. That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
36. Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
37. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
38. Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
39. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

 Re:

Eddie,
Just a few simple questions.

Do you believe the book of Revelation is a history book? Yes or No?

Is Comp 1:9 from the apocrypha? Yes or No?

If it is not from the apocrypha, where is it from?

What does the Bible disagree with?

Thanks.

I looked up the word apocrypha and can only say I have not read those books.
To recall as accurately as I can what the Bible says I have avoided reading the type of books you are talking about with only a few exceptional glances. Not that I have an opinion of them but due to the risk of the effect on the memory of God’s Word.

My understanding of Revelation is that it is a summery of the period after Christ was crucified and the judgement and destruction of Jerusalem (Spiritual Babylon) and the end of the earthly kingdom and its earthly temple made with hands. I believe that it was a prophecy to the Jews of the end of their dispensation. I believe the first twenty chapters were fulfilled before one hundred A. D.. I don’t believe it was meant for me to understand the first twenty chapters but I believe a Jew living in that period could have understood and been able to interpret the vision.

The last two chapters I believe is prophecy of John of the vision that he saw while in the spirit of the coming of the New Jerusalem, the spiritual city that is the sanctuary of the congregation of the New Covenant, the spiritually wed members of the body of Christ. We that reckon our selves to be the dead in Christ and His disciples. I believe the last two chapters can easily be understood by members of the Gospel dispensation but there are no better esamples of earthly things that can be used to describe the spiritual revelation with out adding or taking away from its prophecy.

 Re:

Eddie,

Where did you get Comp 1:9 from?

And since the temple was destroyed in 70AD and John got the Revelation in 95 AD, how can it be speaking about that time?

Thanks.

I don’t know what you mean by “Comp 1:9"

I only used the date 70 A. D. because there is an arch standing in Rome commemorating the destruction of the earthly Temple and Jerusalem but I cannot shed any light on who’s dates are correct but I admit I have been influenced by someone that John’s vision was earlier. With out Biblical or current visible proof I defer.

 Re:

Eddie,
What do you mean you don't know what Comp 1:9 is when you wrote it in your first post?

To conclude, I don't agree with you on anything you have said. You seem self-deceived.

As for blazedbygod who asked the inital question, I have read his comments on other threads and I do question his motives for asking the question.

Bye.

You are right Enid, I ran a word search looking for examples of the word I wanted to use and I listed them with out reading them my self and Comp 1: 9 came up but I didn’t catch it. Sorry to all that read the post and it caused them concern. Lets part ways because I don’t wish to engage in name calling .
Respectfully,
