Do you have " Phineas" zeal...or "faulty" zeal?

Devotional: This is a follow up to the LORD’s comments about Phineas when HE said that Phineas served with HIS zeal. I can recount my pains and bottle my own tears but for what gain? I can scribe every detail of my scars and my wounds, but none of that expedites healing. So the prevailing zeal which one must display is that of CHRIST’s who did not recount HIS stripes around others but spoke the message of salvation, bringing hope and eternal life’s reality to this world. Let your greatest cries be those of praising HIS NAME…with a frequency which far outnumbers your voiced pains! Amen and amen!

Prevailing Zeal

Singing HIS NAME is the action
which consumes both this voice and my strength.
Having cried – oft in pain –
still I shout songs of praise
as this frame begs with tears for Compassion.

Yet each audible verse lifts my worship
o’er the weeping which once filled this soul.
Thus, though scars grace my brow,
Calvary’s gift thrills me now…
and no longer am I without purpose!

Speaking Life into those HE calls preachers,
and to them leading congregations,
so encouraging “Service!”
am I – no more worthless!
with reflections displaying…HIS features!

Whilst my breath yet draws in and exhales
no lamenting nor weeping shall bind me…
for self chooses to praise HIM
though demons so brazen
attack! Hence, my zeal – prevails!

As HIS servant in your service,
W.V.W. Jasnoch (11/29/07)
