Scripture says that there will be Christians that leave the faith. I hear some people saying that those people were just false converts that never believed. Where is that line?

Jim,Thank you. I find that what you have said is true. I am thinking about my parents when asking this question. They took us to church when I was little. I remember my dad praying, being filled with the Spirit and speaking in tongues. the same with my mom. Then they had a fight with the leadership of the church and basically turned their back on Christianity. My dad believes in God, but in a 'all paths lead to God' sort of way. My mom says she believes the Bible, but there is no indication of such in her life. I was in a Bible study lead by someone who is of the osas persuasion and was told that my parents were never believers at all. That is why I ask the question.Thank you for your response. And I hope I haven't asked this question here before... :)
I think a lot of times we use modern lingo that confuses things too. (OSAS, false convert, backslider, etc) The parable of the sower is a good place to look for answers in these type of situations.May you be a shining light before them sister.In Christ - Jim
