| Re: Reminder | | Psa 80:1 Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.
2 Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come and save us.
3 Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
4 O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?
-----------------------------------
14 Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;
19 Turn us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. _________________ CHRISTIAN

Quote:
Ah, it's not cleverness, am very much just broken up. 'Pathos' that word Katz so adequately elucidated comes to mind. The intensity this past week, warfare ... The lies, in this fallen head, the oddly termed 'friendly fire' ... things needing to be addressed, due to strife and yet the poor handling of even that, the effort to somehow keep the peace and still shoot them down, 'smiting the rock'.
It is woeful. I repent of it, beg forgiveness ... Reparations are in order, somehow.
Put it all down to experience and keep moving on. Let's just stick together, bro, as well as we can.
This gathering is going to be an awesome display of Christian men and women focusing on God together. I do feel it is very much for the men... I don't know why... but that sense has been with me for a long time. Now, this hymn came to me, (and another for the preparing our hearts thread).

The Church's one foundation Is Jesus Christ her Lord; She is His new creation By water and the Word. From heaven He came and sought her To be His holy bride; With His own blood He bought her, And for her life He died.
Elect from every nation, Yet one o'er all the earth; Her charter of salvation, One Lord, one faith, one birth; One holy name she blesses, Partakes one holy food, And to one hope she presses, With every grace endued.
Though with a scornful wonder We see her sore oppressed, By schisms rent asunder, By heresies distressed, Yet saints their watch are keeping; Their cry goes up, "How long?" And soon the night of weeping Shall be the morn of song.
Mid toil and tribulation, And tumult of her war, She waits the consummation Of peace for evermore; Till, with the vision glorious, Her longing eyes are blest, And the great Church victorious Shall be the Church at rest.
Yet she on earth hath union With God the Three in One, And mystic sweet communion With those whose rest is won. O happy ones and holy! Lord, give us grace that we Like them, the meek and lowly, On high may dwell with Thee.
