aka Willie Burton was a pioneer missionary to the Congo (Zaire) from the early years of the 20th century. A contemporary and friend of Smith Wigglesworth he launched into the 'whiteman's graveyard' with a call on his life and a faith that God would 'work with them with signs following'. He and his companions faced malarial swamps and Africa at its darkest to bring light to those who sat in darkness. Within his lifetime the work had grown to hundreds of local churches under the care of African leaders. If you want to hear the flavour of those old-time Pentecostals I have posted a link on my blog at...Biblebase Blog...to an old recording from 1968. It is a little noisy but worth the effort to listen.
