You see we are given an example where Paul had to correct the children, the babes in Christ. God uses men in this way throughout Scripture because the wayward child is not listening to the Father.

If the babe in Christ was listening to the Spirit, Paul would not have been led by the Holy Spirit to correct the Corinthian church.

Paul states clearly that these babes in Christ are not obeying the Spirit. The Corinthian church is just one example. The church in Ephesus is another example. Timothy was sent because of the backslidden nature of the Ephesian church.
