The law was given by the angels

This is an intersting topic. In Galations chapter 3:19 the bible says "Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by ANGELS in the hand of a mediator.

In this passage of scripture paul tells the galations that the law was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. Who was the mediator? Moses was the mediator. The angels gave the law to Moses. Why? "It was asdded because of transgressions". It was given to prepare the way for Christ, to show Israel they were in need of a Saviour. God had already made the promise to Abraham that in him all nations would be blessed so why would he give the law if he expected us to be saved by the law? This covenant was given to Abraham by God, and in v.15 Paul says "Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto."

Excuse me as I paraphrase. If two people make a covenant it is between those two people and if anything is added it is illegal. Paul says in v.17 "And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of GOD IN CHRIST, the law which was four hundred and thirty years after,(this is when the law was given) CANNOT DISANNUL, that it should make the promise of none effect." The law cannot dissanul the promise that god gave which was Jesus Christ that's why it was given by the angels, God had nothing to do with the law.V.18 "For if the inheritance be of law, it is no more promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise." The promise to Abraham was Jesus Christ the Saviour. God never gave the law for salavation it's always been Jesus Christ. Notice that God gave that promise directly to Abraham but the law came by a mediator.

This is a wonderful truth V.26 "For ye are the children of God by faith in Jesus Christ."

It's always been Jesus
