Neither the word 'make' or 'set' is actually in the Greek. It is the Future Active Indicative of [url=http://www.blueletterbible.org/cgi-bin/words.pl?book=Jhn&chapter=8&verse=32&strongs=1659&page=]eleutheroO[/url] which really means 'to liberate'.If you check out the verses where the word is used in the New Testament you will get a good feel for the word. Notice particularly [url=http://www.blueletterbible.org/cgi-bin/versions.pl?book=Gal&chapter=5&verse=1&version=KJV#1]Gal 5:1[/url] where the noun and the verb ie liberty and liberate are both used in the same sentence to emphasise the 'liberty with which Christ has liberated us'.
