 Contentment in service

These words are to encourage anyone who might feel like they’re not being used of God where they’re at and wish they were somewhere else. If anyone else has some verses or thoughts on this I would love to hear them. Let’s not miss what God has for us right now.

“For which [the Gospel] I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.” Ephesians 6:20
Paul did not let his chains hinder him from serving God. He used his place of bondage as a pulpit for the Gospel. He did not let his limited circumstances hinder him from obeying God in preaching the Gospel. Paul could have spent his time bemoaning the fact that he wasn’t out preaching the Gospel to crowds of people and planting churches. Paul could have spent all his time thinking about how ‘needed’ he was to encourage and edify the churches in person. Instead he wrote letters which have had a greater impact than if he had personally spoke the words at each church. Paul grasped the opportunities that God gave him to glorify God.
Don’t use your imperfect circumstances as an excuse not to obey and serve God. Look where God has put you as your calling for the moment and seek to glorify God in it. This may be the only time in your life that you will have the opportunity to minister to the people you are around every day.
Don’t be wishing you were elsewhere, but be praising God that you are somewhere!

Mat 15:33 And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?
Mat 15:34 And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes.
Mat 15:35 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground.
Mat 15:36 And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and broke them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

I think there is a simple little message in these verses that say that God can take what little you have and multiply it to feed multitudes.
