Lately, I have been reading up on end time prophecy regarding Israel and Jerusalem. I finished 2 books and it taught me alot about Israels history. Does anyone know of more books about Israel's history but not necessarily regarding end times?GOD BlessJohn

This isn't a book...but it's the first thing that came to mind when I saw your post. This is a video series on Israel's history, focusing mainly on her modern history. I love this series and learned so much about the modern state of Israel through watching it.The Promise Series.
If you're looking for ancient history outside of the Bible accounts you might want to look at The Works of Flavius JospehusThis is very extensive history from creation to around A.D. 90.In Christ,Ron

I would heartily recommend A History of the Jews by Paul Johnson. Johnson is a Catholic and very right wing and very sympathetic to things Jewish and Israeli but I think he writes very objectively on this. He is not a Bible believer so his comments on the Biblical history of the Jews will not impress you. He is well regarded historian/journalist over here in the UK and this book is a real eye-opener.His tracing of the cycles of antisemitism is very moving and you leave the book with a feeling of admiration and wonder for this extraordinary race. You can get a little idea of the book's style from excerpts on the Amazon website. Open the book on the Amazon website and give the 'Surprise me' button a few clicks.
