If you are going to listen to sermons for that long, we'll have to make sure that you get a wide range of preachers. You may end up speaking like your favourite if you don't get a variety. :-P
Try a few Ravenhills, he can talk for along time, as does Art Katz.
Blessings,
p.s. what sermons have you listened to? Just to give us an idea of where to start. _________________ Zeke Oosthuis

| Re: I need some real preaching. please help! | | My first thought would be Zac Poonen -earlier this year I was working a temp job doing data entry and I listended to his series called 'Basic Christian Teachings' but there was nothing 'basic' about them... they made a strong impression on me. I also particularly liked his Topical Bible Study called 'The Better Covenant.'
You can get all of his audio and videos plus pdfs of his books here: http://www.cfcindia.com/
I would also encourage you to listen to Brother Andrew's messages that are available on this site -he will give you a lot to think about for the new year!
I am also especially fond of K.P. Yohannan of Gospel for Asia, in the last year I've read nearly four of his books, working on the fourth right now! He gives a very challenging call to live a simpler life for the Gospel! You can find his messages here on Sermonindex or at his website http://www.gfa.org !
You can't go wrong with Leonard Ravenhill or Corrie Ten Boom although they may be a little dated! And I've also been blessed recently by Brother Yun who also has some audio available on this site.
God Bless! _________________ Ian Smith

| Re: I need some real preaching. please help! | | Hi fromtheold,
Try any of the ones listed to the right of the main page if you haven't already ...
Interestingly, "A Call to Anguish" by David Wilkerson was such a one on a New Years eve past that I had listened to again just before an all night prayer meeting that ... it's a long story. It ended up being very pivotal in a variety of ways. (It is in the Top 20 downloads to your right)
Another that comes to mind having just listened to it again today ... :-o
The Ministry of Beholding His Face also by David Wilkerson.
An elder with great understanding of revival;
Richard Owen Roberts
Nature of Revival or Seek My Face come to mind.
Just realized you mentioned something that will give you strength ... These may end up doing that in a different fashion ... strength through weakness.
Devern Fromke
Find always very encouraging ...
The Revival Hymn ... even after losing track of how many times now ... always a stiring. (Top 20 downloads) _________________ Mike Balog

| Re: | | another thought would be to start the year 2007 by entering in the prayer closet and let God give you something in your spirit so powerful and life changing that you will, instead of listening to other messages, you can become a message on your own!
Jesus said in John chapter 4, "My meat is to do the will of him that sent me..." we don't only get fed, nourished and grow by what we recieve but by what we give....be a doer of the word.
When Paul quotes Jesus as saying, "It is better to give then to recieve..." that goes farther then just money....but freely ye have recieved from GoD....give!!!!!
Peter and John at the gate of beautiful..."Silver and Gold have I none...but such as I have give I unto thee..."
It's great to lock you're-self in a room or on a mountain to hear from God. But when you seek God...be sure to act on what he gives you when you have found him.
God ministers to you so that you in turn can minister to others!
God will renew your vision when you move out to be used of God in this world for the Gospel!
God bless |
