 Not What It Seems

Saints,

This site is so much more than just a collection of sermons and a discussion board. I thank God for this community. I think I would have fallen away entirely, if it were not for this resource. I mean the sermons that we have here that are just a click away. And the brothers and sisters we have gathered here from all over the world. Encouraging one another, exhorting one another, correcting one another, loving one another and praying for one another.

Tonight while I was looking to see who was logged on, I just got to thinking about everything. The different personalities, diverse backgrounds and yet we are all brought here for this one thing.

Jesus Christ

Let us remember that when we post. It is so easy to forget what we are doing here. It is so tempting to want to get the last word in or to be right all of the time. Let us always contend for the truth and always be concious of our motives. God is.

I love you all and am thankful for you.

Murray

Amen.

Thank you for this timely word brother. I really think it is important to pray and think over our posts. I have been vastly encouraged in seeing some dear brothers and sisters in the Lord grow in the Lord while being on this website and it being "evident" in their posts. Oh for that testimony to be found in all of us that our character and posting can change to the glory of God. Gentleness, Meekness, Self-Control, etc.

It would be good for the brethren to include more scripture in their posts and also more sermon quotes and recommendations and links to sermons from the database. This should be inter-mingled into our discussions more. I appreciate you brother Murray.

 Re:

Saints,

To finish my thought from yesterday, I would like to add a couple things.

God is using this resource to equip the saints. Sermonindex is putting out uncompromised sermons from men who lived to please God not man.

I don't need my ears tickled, I want to know the truth! I believe that is why the majority of us are here, because we want the meat of the word.

Just think of the spinoff effects from burning some of these great sermons and distributing them freely to whomever. I have given Paul Washer C.D.'s to people in Minnesota, Illinois and remote Indian reserves in Northwestern Ontario and I know they have been blessed to hear real preaching.

Thank You Lord for leading me here to be fed, so that I can grow.

"When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me." 1 Corinthians 13:11

 Re:

Brother Murray,

Thank you for sharing these thoughts, I believe many of us here are sharing the same one!
My prayer is sermonindex to remain faithful to the guidance of the Holy Spirit until the end with uncompromising messages and pure fellowship here on the forums.
God has already blessed thousands!

Blessings.
