Dear Fine people of the sermon index community, Please check the following statement of beliefs. I would like your feedback with scripture where relevant. I need to help a friend see some light. Please discuss it point by point. I cannot disclose the source. All I can say is I don't believe most of the things written below. please discuss. Thanks again. Joe

Know your God, Your maker
[ Kindly STUDY the Biblical references given along with each point. (Acts 17:11), which will help you to understand the TRUTH. ]

1) God Almighty is one. NOT one in three or three in One (Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29; James 2:19)

2) Jesus is God's only begotten son and he was the FIRST creation of God, Jehovah. Yes, he was the begining of the creation of God, Jehovah. And Jesus is inferior to God, Jehovah (Colossian 1:15,16; 1.Corinthians 15:27, 28; Revelation 3:14, Proverbs. 8:22-30)

3) Holy Spirit is not a Person or 'Sprit Being' but is the spirit/power of the Father in Heaven. (Luke 1:35; Isaiah 11:2)

4) Man was created by God; Male and Female HE created them; HE blessed them to live on EARTH without death’(i.e. Live Forever);(Genesis 1:27, 28)

5) Wages of sin is death. Because of Adam’s sin mankind was sentenced to death. (i.e., Mankind lost the RIGHT to Live Forever on Earth)(Genesis.3:17-19; Romans 6:23; Romans 5:12)

6) Dead know NOT anything. So no need to pray for the Dead or no use of praying to Dead (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10; Psa.146: 4; 115:17, Job 14:21)

7)God designed a Divine Plan to save mankind from the death sentence (i.e., plan to give back the 'RIGHT to Live Forever on Earth' to mankind.) (John 3:16; Hebrew 1:1,2)

8)Logos, the only begotten son of God, came into the world as a human being [Logos (i.e., the pre-human form of God’s only begotten son) left his existence as spirit being and lowered himself as a human being] as written in the scriptures, 'Lo, I have come to do thy will, O God,' as it is written of me in the roll of the book." (Hebrews 10:5-7; Psalms. 40:7,8). He was named as ‘Jesus’)

9) Jesus obeyed his Father unto Calvary and died. The death of Jesus is the heart or hub of the salvation process. (i.e., the Divine Plan mentioned in Point No.7) (Philippians 2:8; John 3:17; 12:47; Acts 4:12)

10) God has made known to us in all wisdom and insight the mystery of HIS will, according to HIS purpose which HE set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. (Ephesians 1:8,9)

11) At the due time the Resurrection of the dead (both good men and wicked men) will take place on earth (1 Corinthians 15:13; Acts 24:15
12) Jesus will restitute (reinstate everything lost due to the sin of Adam) as mentioned in Revelation 21:4 “he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away."

13) That was why Jesus taught us to pray as mentioned in Mathew 6:10 “ …………May your Kingdom come; May your will be done on EARTH as it is in Heaven………….”
14) God told the same to Abraham, “in thee shall all nations be blessed”; (Gen.12:1-3) that the Christ is the great Seed of Abraham (Gal. 3: 7-9; 16), through whom “all the families of the earth shall be blessed”. That this blessing of salvation for the world will come during Jesus' Second Advent, in “the times of restitution of all things,” when God's Kingdom will be established on earth (Matt. 6: 10; Acts 3:19-23)
15) Therefore Bible teaches us that mankind Lost eternal life on EARTH,NOT in HEAVEN due to the sin of Adam;(Genesis 1:27, 28; Genesis. 3:17-19)
16) At the due time God will pour his spirit upon mankind so that all will come to know the TRUTH. All will get a free and fair chance to know GOD, to know his son Jesus and God’s Divine Plan (Joel 2: 28)
17) The wicked ones will be annihilated (destroyed eternally; not eternally tortured) in what is called Second death as mentioned in the book of Revelation “And the sea gave up the dead in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead in them, and all were judged by what they had done. Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire; and if any one's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. (Rev 20:13,14,15) “But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the polluted, as for murderers, fornicators, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their lot shall be in the lake that burns with fire and sulphur, which is the second death." (Rev.21:8)
18) To be saved means to be made free from all the punishments given in the Garden of Eden due to Adam’s sin. Therefore when we are saved, we have to get “the right to live on Earth forever”, the same right Adam had before he sinned. Also we need to get back what all else lost due to the sin of Adam / the result of the subsequent punishment
19) Yes, Bible does teach us that “And I heard a great voice out of Heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, write: for these words are true and faithful. (Rev.21: 3-5)
May God, Almighty bless you to know HIM, to know HIS Son Jesus Christ and to know HIS divine Plan on Mankind. If you know the TRUTH, the TRUTH shall make you free. John 8:32

Hi Joe,

The doctrine is much in step with the Jehovah's Witnesses. Their error extends to the Trinity, Deity of Christ, eternality of Hell, etc.

I would recommend some good sources on the Deity of Christ [u]first[/u]. Doing a search here on SI on Trinity, etc. would be a good place to begin. The list you have is far too extensive to handle in one thread. It is not a debate I wish to get involved with here as it is unnecessarily time consuming. There are too many resources that handle it already in print.

oh boy.

I had two Nigerian men come to my door the other day, father and son, dressed in suits.

They were Jehovah's, I welcomed them with warmth, love and a smile, said "cmon on in!!", took them into my study, where I had just been reading out of Luke, and before they could open their mouths, I said, "I love Jesus and before you get started, here's what I know, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost are one, thats a non-negotiable"....I then said "stay here, lemme get something" I went to the fridge, there was a jar with 3 pickles in it. I came back into the study, which has an antique large "Last Supper" hanging behind my writing table, open Bible on the table, and I held the jar of pickles and said, "This is a jar of pickles, singular, ONE JAR, now within the jar is three pickles, so it is with Yahweh, Elochim, Adonai, he is echad, ONE, but IN Him, is the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, echad and echad in Hebrew means ONE".

They didnt know what to say coz I was so sweet and winsome, yet firm, so they just stammered that they would leave some magazines with me, and come back when "I wasn't so busy".

I bade them "May God bless you". They went on their way, and the magazines went in the trash.
