(edit... sorry, didn't know about the separate section for prayer requests... I'm still getting used to it all...)Hey guys...I was down in southern virginia visiting one of my friends, and I ended up running into my old youth pastor from the local church that I attended prior to coming to school. He asked me if I would be interested in coming to the retreat to serve as a small group leader, Sunday to Wednesday. After some prayer and thought, I agreed to help serve. The retreat will consist of 300 or so individuals from various churches. We'll be gathering in Petersburg, VA.I'm pretty convinced that the majority of the youth attending this retreat are looking to have a fun time, and play games. I ask for prayer as I will try to let them understand the real reason as for coming to a retreat. To seek the Just and Holy God, to repent and kneel before Him in supplication.I believe I shall become quite unpopular speaking against their happy-go-lucky attitudes, so I ask for prayer, and that God might reveal Himself at this retreat. Thanks guys.-Sam

I am praying Sam, that the Christ in you might come forth that the youth might see Him. 1Jo 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world. In Christ: Phillip

Amen Phillip,Lord I stand in agreement with my brother's prayer and ask that you speak clearly to Sam's heart that your word might go forth clear and clean. Jesus I'm trusting you to step into these young people's lives and bring that wonderful gift of conviction of sin. I'm praying that repentance will be poured out as Sam walks in obedience to your commands.
