 A Christ, or as Christ:

Dave, you wrote, " The meaning of being "sons of God" through Christ means being God's children. It does not mean we can ever become 'a Christ', or like Jesus in this flesh."

If this is pertaining to me and what I say, I have never said I was a god and I was another Christ, even being that I have Christ in me. There is only one Christ, and the birth of His Seed by the Father in me, has made me as Christ, not a Christ. I now have by birth the Nature of Christ as my Spirit, By the Seed of God the Father. Mary had an egg in her body and the Seed of the Father by miraculous conception, she became with Child, That is Jesus Christ born in the Flesh. You would have to say the same thing of the Born Again. But we are not born again to the flesh, we are born again to the Spirit, by the same process Christ was born from His mother Mary. Like Nicodemus said, a man cannot reenter his mother's womb and be new in the flesh. If we are born again we are not born again in the flesh, we are born again in the spirit, and by the Spirit of Christ we are a new Spirit birthed creature with the full Nature of the Seed Giver, which is God the Father. The Seed being Christ in you the Hope of Glory. The soul follows along being direct by the Holy Spirit to bring our minds to the Mind of Christ that is birthed in us, for we have the Mind of Christ.

Now to the flesh. You hath He quickened, not exchanged yet, but quickened, not made perfect yet, but quickened. Quickened to what?

I know this is a lot of scripture to show what was quickened, but it is necessary to see what the conclusion is of being quickened in the Flesh.

Ephesians 2:1-22 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

(This is what we were in the flesh being ruled by the spirit of Satan that was our nature)

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, (This is total death and complete separation from God and He) hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; (The middle wall of partition is not making us and Israel one, but making God and us One) Having abolished in His flesh the (1. enmity), even the (2. law of commandments contained in ordinances); (This was the middle wall of partition) for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; (not peace with Israel, but peace with God) And that he might reconcile both (us and Christ) unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. (The same peace for both Israel and Gentiles, in Christ) For through Him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

In the Flesh quickened by God we are fitly framed together in Christ and are growing into "Holy Temple in the Lord". We are the fleshly temple of the Lord and we will always be growing into this temple and someday this flesh temple will be change into a finished holy temple just like the Body of Jesus Christ.

We are already being, "builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit." Then on resurrection day with our new bodies, just like His we will be finally complete in our whole habitation which is being built right now, being complete and living as son's in our Father's House, which is being prepared for us right now.

In Christ as Christ, not a Christ: Phillip
