Dear brother, I know that you have and are currently going through much, but trust Him. Put away the books for awhile, get alone with Him, search the Scriptures, ask Him to cleanse your heart. Best of all the cleansed heart is part of God's promise read Ezekiel 36:25-27, Acts 15:9.
Bottom line is that if we are honest about our sin, He is able and willing to cleanse, not only our conscience, but our heart as well.
Oh yeah best of all, our old nature has been done away with Romans 6:6-7.
Be of good cheer brother, rejoice always, and seek Him with all of your heart.
