 A great harvest on Easter

The fact is on Sunday (Easter) there will be more people in church than any other time this year. We've been praying pastors across this country would preach the word with power! The Lord would see a great harvest this weekend. I pray people would truly be born of God... I believe we as the body should be praying for souls to be saved for His glory!
The sad thing is alot of people will be more concerned what they wear to church on Easter. Charles Finney said: "Pride...How would you dress if EVERYONE were blind?"

My observation over the years has been that on Easter, churches put on a big show hoping to attract remaining "church goers". Bells, choirs, pagents, etc. are stepped up in hopes of impressing and keeping many of the Easter Lilys.

But Christ will not be raised from the dead on Easter. He has been raised, glorified and His Spirit poured out for 2000 years.

And souls are not won by pagents, by choirs, by big productions, by sunrise services, by any of these things. But rather souls are won by the Living resurrected Christ indwelling and manifesting Himself in those who take Him daily as their portion, who take the cross to their natural life and live by the wonderous resurrection Life of Christ.

God is not in the thunderstorm or the whirlwind, but in the still small voice of the Spirit operating from within His believers and upon those who hear the glorious gospel of the crucified and resurrected Christ.

Christ being worked into, being constituted into, and manifesting Himself through His regenerated believers being built up corporatly into His expression are the testimony of Christ and the Reality of Christ in His body is what attracts people to Him.

And the way of growth is mainly through personal contacts, abiding in Christ and feeding others with the pure milk of the Word, nourishing and cherishing them and teaching them to contact the Lord, to enjoy Him, to call on Him, and to find Him in the scriptures.

I say the best way to deal with Easter is just to continue to meet simply, to call on the Lord, to manifest and enjoy the living resurrected Christ in a consistant way. This is the way to gain others, and to build up His body.

These other things stir up the soul, produce religious feelings, but rarely touch the spirit. But the Living Resurrected Christ, indwelling and lived out by His church ministers to the spirit and produces fruit that remains.

1Cr 12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also [is] Christ.

1Cr 12:18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

1Cr 12:20 But now [are they] many members, yet but one body.

1Cr 12:22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

1Cr 12:23 And those [members] of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely [parts] have more abundant comeliness.

1Cr 12:25 That there should be no schism in the body; but [that] the members should have the same care one for another.

1Cr 12:26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

1Cr 12:27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

May Christ come through His brothers and sisters, and the World see Him, as He died for us and them. May we be put to death all the day, that Christ may live in His brethren. That God the Father may be Glorified in His Son.

In Christ: Phillip

Eph 4:25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

Eph 5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

 Re:

Amen Phillip!

As many families are getting together tomororw for Easter, I think it would be great if we could try to bring up Jesus' death and resurrection to our lost loved ones and tell them what it means to us. Who knows what God may do!
