 Our Redeemer Lives

Job, one of the oldest books in the Bible has this to say about Jesus Christ:

"25. For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
26. And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
27. Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me." [Job 19:25-27]**

What faith this man, Job had. What understanding He had of not only his future, but everyone's future- everyone who trusts in and believes in Jesus Christ, The Messiah, the Seed of the Woman.

Don't we all wish that the Holy Spirit revealed truths to us, as He did for Job?

God bless,

Stever

**Reins means: the kidneys, the supposed seat of the desires and affections; used metaphorically for "heart." The "reins" and the "heart" are often mentioned together, as denoting the whole moral constitution of man (Ps. 7:9; 16:7; 26:2; 139:13; Jer. 17:10, etc.)
