Revival is a definate, sudden visitation of God. The conviction of sin is present. There are always supernatural experiences, but these vary: a literal crying out to God for mercy, unexplainable wave of supernatural presence of power, brokenness of spirit, conversion of large numbers of people not usually even interested in church, unusual purifying of morals in communities, etc. It seems every time it is an event that could be documented even by a non-believer as something very unusual.I like Ravenhill's take of 'An invasion of the Holy Ghost.'

No Quotes huh? Yea, I think it right that without qutoes from the bible is dangerous. The bible is the one true thing we can place our faith on! Even personal experiences, undoubtebly if they don't line up with scripture, aren't something to place our faith on.But about revival... I think it's a common misconception that revival is an awakening of ppl to God. Revival is actually something that happens among the "Church"/Body of Christ. In my perspective..it's the chhurch realigning itself with the Word of God, seeing the simplicity of Christ! Families being brought bak together always preceeds revival (the hearts of the fathers to the children and vice versa) but to actually define it, seems to me to be somewhat limiting God... no matter what we can imagine God is Greater!!! he can do so much more than we can even try to Fathom, so anything i try to define would confine him to something so much smaller than what he is.PS. Does it count as 'quoting' if i purposely didn't write them verbatum??

I would say, Revival is where sinners chase after God, it is when God steps down from heaven, and the lost flee to the Saviour.
