Moses placed his rod down and it became a serpent. Then Pharaoh's magicians placed theirs down and they became serpents too. Then Moses' swallowed those of the magicians. Counterfeit is there - but it is possible to see God's in the midst.

God gives good gifts to those that ask, and it is the will of God that His children would be filled with the Holy Spirit, abiding in Christ, having the Word dwelling within us richly, bringing forth much fruit, pursuing love, and desiring spiritual gifts for the building up of the Body of Christ.

Jesus said that they will know you are my disciples because you have love one to another.

We need to operate in the Love of Christ toward one another.

We should all be about edifying one another instead of trying to tear down.

I admit I haven’t read all of this thread but saw the title “on tongues” and knew what God had done in my life which is biblical.

I realize some may of took it that I was magnifying myself and my experience but I honestly felt that I was praising God who gave me the experience.

We can none have the new birth nor the Holy Spirit without the experience of receiving it.

I also know that the devil is real and that there are counterfeits to the real.

But each person has to know that he/she has a real experience with God. We must know that we know whom we have believed and also be persuaded that He is able to keep that which He has committed unto us until that day.

Paul knew his experience and testimony was real according to the Word of God and we must know also!

you claim to be entirely sanctified, but claim Evan Roberts was demonized, and you say that tongues opens the door for demons in a believer.

First of all, there are other sources that report that Evan Roberts simply withdrew to a life of intercession.
Do you know the absolute truth about it?

Secondly, tongues open doors for demons? I know there are demonic tongues and have heard them, but tongues in itself do not lead to demonization. Where do you find that?

Somethings not right here.

I'll just say it - you are speaking as a child, arguing as a child, reasoning as a child. You need to put childish ways behind you and grow up. You're also dragging immature saints down with you because of your fleshly zeal.

The proof of your self seeking is the people you choose to respond to, you're gobbling up the praise of those that are immature and love the hype of it, it feels good to the flesh. You won't address the posts that might make you be honest with yourself and God - because at this point pride means you have to dig in your heels.

These debates are fleshly and titillating and make you feel like your accomplishing something because you have a cause to stand up for - it's all childish, pointless, and grievous to the Holy Spirit.

Seek the Lord Colin, because you are on a dangerous path and are already hardened to brothers who are trying to show you the path.

Won't you, for Christ's sake, address sister Brenda's position/posts as well, brother Evan? Or you honestly have nothing to say about her position or arguments? As this whole thread is largely (if not entirely) between several brethren and her? We should all be happy to put this topic to rest but your comments seems to leave sister Brenda out. Are you perhaps implying you are on her side?

Colin, I would listen to Evan. I don't understand your point of quoting narrowpath.

I think brother Colin is simply saying the quoted text is relevant to this thread as well. I still wish to hear brother Evan's comment on our sister's position for one. Especially as one who speaks in tongues as the Spirit give him utterance as well.
