| Re: | | Hi Lysa, Ready doesnt mean make preparations to me.Zac Poonen's only practical suggestion was to live simply and save money wisely for a rainy day and this suggestion doesnt gaurantee you will stand during persecution. If strong persecution comes you will lose both the simple living and the money. We need to store up riches in heaven.Job had riches and lost them but kept faithful.
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Getting ready doesnt mean to me that we preach some different gospel such as the gospel of persecution. We need to preach the full Gospel, the good news Gospel that Jesus died and rose again and will come back again. Being ready for me is to love God with all your heart soul and mind and love my neighbour as my self. Im ready and expect Jesus to come when he said he would like the times of Noah and Lot. In both cases they were eating and drinking and planting, ,building etc. This time is clearly not a time in the middle of the Great tribulation nor can it be a time after the Great Tribulation. Unfortunately their are people preaching that his bride have to go through the Great Tribulation to be purified. The bride has to be made ready agreed and separated but this happens pre rapture and if I am not ready or if any parts of my life are not ready then I trust God to make me ready, urs staff

| Re: | | Hi Staff,
I didn't find Zac's message vague.
To be ready for tribulation means to be like the 5 virgins who gathered their oil in their vessels. Also, being ready is like the prudent wife described on Proverbs 31. This means to continue to obey God's command to believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ and to love your neighbors as yourself. Relying on Jesus Christ for His work on the cross and His power of the resurrection and to love your neighbors by helping those in need, forgiving others, blessing those who hurt you. Sharing your bread with a stranger in need. _________________ Yulboum Robert

| Re: | | Hi Yulboum, Zac mentioned a list of commands and linked them subtely to "a persecution gospel". The 5 foolish virgins didnt suffer persecution or tribulation by the way nor did the 5 wise virgins. The parable is about being ready for Christs return not being ready for persecution or tribulation. Jesus never said go ye throughout he world and preach about persecution. He stated facts ,you will have persecution and tribulations. This is a fact as every Christian would have experienced at some stage. The problem here is we have a group of people spreading a different gospel such as Zac Poonen, urs staff

| Re: | | I didn't mean to imply you thought Poonen blasphemed. You did though say he preached another gospel because he disagrees with you.
I was just pointing out what Revelation reveals awaits end-time saints. Thank goodness for Revelation 12:11. _________________ David Winter
