 Re:

.”When we try to believe ourselves into an experience, we are getting into a metaphysical realm. But faith is spiritual . . . warm and vital . . . it lives and throbs; and its power is irresistible, when it is imparted to the heart by the Lord. It is with the heart that man believes unto righteousness. Heart belief opens the door of communication between us and the Lord and a divinely imparted faith becomes possible.”

Charles Price

"They lash Paul 195 times, but they can’t beat the grace of God out of him. They starve him, but they can’t starve it out of him. They threaten, but they can’t threaten it out of him. If we could get a baptism of that love in the Church, we’d shake the world in less than a year." - Leonard Ravenhill

"The institutional people do not often talk about revival. The true evangelical, on the other hand, is always longing for an outpouring of the Spirit." - Martyn Lloyd-Jones

“Any true revival can be proven by the fact that it changed the moral climate of an area or nation."

“The story of the very first outbreak of the Revival traces it to the trembling utterance of a poor Welsh girl, who, at a meeting in a Cardigan village, was the first to rise and testify. “If no one else will, then I must say that I love the Lord Jesus Christ with all my heart.”Evan Roberts

 Re:

“I read of the revivals of the past, great sweeping revivals where thousands of men were swept into the Kingdom of God. I read about Charles G. Finney winning his thousands and his hundreds of thousands of souls to Christ. Then I picked up a book and read the messages of Charles G. Finney and the message of Jonathan Edwards on 'Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God,' and I said, 'No wonder men trembled; no wonder they fell in the altars and cried out in repentance and sobbed their way to the throne of grace!'”

Leonard Ravenhill

“Love heaven. Let your heart be in it. Up, up and visit the new land and view the fair city, the white throne, and the Lamb—run fast, for it is late.” - Samuel Rutherford

 Re:

A revival almost always begins among the laity. The ecclesiastical leaders seldom welcome reformation. History repeats itself. The present leaders are too comfortably situated as a rule to desire innovation that might require sacrifice on their part. And God's fire only falls on sacrifice. An empty altar receives no fire!

Frank Bartleman
