... the power of Your love
Lord I come to You Let my heart be changed, renewed Flowing from the grace That I've found in You And Lord I've come to know The weaknesses I see in me Will be stripped away In the power of Your love
Hold me close Let Your love surround me Bring me near Draw me to Your side And as I wait I'll rise up like the eagle And I will soar with You Your spirit leads me on In the Power of Your love
Lord unveil my eyes Let me see you face to face The knowledge of Your love As you live in me And Lord renew my mind As Your will unfolds in my life In living every day In the Power of Your love

(NASB) Isaiah 40 "Comfort, O comfort My people," says your God. "Speak kindly to Jerusalem; And call out to her, that her warfare has ended, That her iniquity has been removed, That she has received of the LORD'S hand Double for all her sins."
A voice is calling, "Clear the way for the LORD in the wilderness; Make smooth in the desert a highway for our God. "Let every valley be lifted up, And every mountain and hill be made low; And let the rough ground become a plain, And the rugged terrain a broad valley;
Then the glory of the LORD will be revealed, And all flesh will see it together; For the mouth of the LORD has spoken."
A voice says, "Call out." Then he answered, "What shall I call out?" All flesh is grass, and all its loveliness is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades, When the breath of the LORD blows upon it; Surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.
Get yourself up on a high mountain, O Zion, bearer of good news, Lift up your voice mightily, O Jerusalem, bearer of good news; Lift it up, do not fear.
Say to the cities of Judah, "Here is your God!" Behold, the Lord GOD will come with might, With His arm ruling for Him. Behold, His reward is with Him And His recompense before Him.
Like a shepherd He will tend His flock, In His arm He will gather the lambs And carry them in His bosom; He will gently lead the nursing ewes.
Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, And marked off the heavens by the span, And calculated the dust of the earth by the measure, And weighed the mountains in a balance And the hills in a pair of scales? Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD, Or as His counselor has informed Him?
With whom did He consult and who gave Him understanding? And who taught Him in the path of justice and taught Him knowledge And informed Him of the way of understanding?
Behold, the nations are like a drop from a bucket, And are regarded as a speck of dust on the scales; Behold, He lifts up the islands like fine dust. Even Lebanon is not enough to burn, Nor its beasts enough for a burnt offering.
All the nations are as nothing before Him, They are regarded by Him as less than nothing and meaningless. To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare with Him?
As for the idol, a craftsman casts it, A goldsmith plates it with gold, And a silversmith fashions chains of silver.
He who is too impoverished for such an offering Selects a tree that does not rot; He seeks out for himself a skillful craftsman To prepare an idol that will not totter.
Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been declared to you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth? It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.
He it is who reduces rulers to nothing, Who makes the judges of the earth meaningless.
Scarcely have they been planted, Scarcely have they been sown, Scarcely has their stock taken root in the earth, But He merely blows on them, and they wither, And the storm carries them away like stubble.
"To whom then will you liken Me That I would be his equal?" says the Holy One.
Lift up your eyes on high And see who has created these stars, The One who leads forth their host by number, He calls them all by name; Because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power, Not one of them is missing.
Why do you say, O Jacob, and assert, O Israel, "My way is hidden from the LORD, And the justice due me escapes the notice of my God"?
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth Does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable.
He gives strength to the weary, And to him who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, And vigorous young men stumble badly, Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.

I hope no-one missed the last post on p98, when I posted twice.
It is Shout to the Lord, including the composer singing with a huge choir.

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for ... | | ... His glorious truth revealed to us by His Spirit through scripture and Christ Jesus
The following hymn from the old Redemption Hymnal, of which both the words and tune are anonymous in my music edition, has been adapted for this tune, particularly the original chorus:
The Lamb, the Lamb, the bleeding Lamb, I love the sound of Jesu's name, It sets my spirit all in a flame, Glory to the bleeding Lamb!
With words from the original chorus, I completed the first verse, and, in the last verse, I found words to complete the new refrain.
You will hear two quick notes at the beginning of some lines of the words. You can ignore most of these, unless you need them to make the words fit.
My Saviour suffered on the tree, Glory to the bleeding Lamb, O come and praise the Lord with me! Glory to the bleeding Lamb! I love the sound of Jesu's name, Glory to the bleeding Lamb, It sets my spirit all in a flame, Glory to the bleeding Lamb!
Refrain Bleeding Lamb, the bleeding Lamb, I love the sound of Jesu's name! Jesus tasted death for me, Jesus tasted death for me, Jesus tasted death for me, glory to the bleeding Lamb!
He bore my sins and curse and shame, Glory to the bleeding Lamb, And I am saved through Jesu's name, Glory to the bleeding Lamb! I know my sins are all forgiven, Glory to the bleeding Lamb, And I am on my way to heaven, Glory to the bleeding Lamb!
Refrian
And when the storms of life are o'er, Glory to the bleeding Lamb, I'll sing upon a happier shore, Glory to the bleeding Lamb! And this my ceaseless song shall be, Glory to the bleeding Lamb, That Jesus tasted death for me, Glory to the bleeding Lamb!
Refrain

Leviticus 23:24 - 44 'Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, "In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD".'
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 'Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD. And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God.
For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people. And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people. Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath'.
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 'Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, "The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD. On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.
These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day: beside the sabbaths of the LORD, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the LORD.
Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.
And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days. And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.
Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths: that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God".'
And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD.

| Re: | | Today I am praising God for His faithfulness in working in me with the purpose of completing that which concerns me.
Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
I'm thankful that He is a faithful friend who will never leave us or forsake us.
John 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
Hebrews 13:5-6
5.......: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. |

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for ... | | ... the breeze of His Spirit and peace of soul
Jesus, Thy blood and righteousness My beauty are, my glorious dress; Midst flaming worlds, in these arrayed, With joy shall I lift up my head.
When from the dust of death I rise To claim my mansion in the skies, Evn then this shall be all my plea, Jesus hath lived, hath died, for me.
Bold shall I stand in Thy great day; For who aught to my charge shall lay? Fully absolved through these I am From sin and fear, from guilt and shame.
This spotless robe the same appears, When ruined nature sinks in years; No age can change its glorious hue, The robe of Christ is ever new.
Lord, I believe were sinners more Than sands upon the ocean shore, Thou hast for all a ransom paid, For all a full atonement made.
O let the dead now hear Thy voice; Now bid Thy banished ones rejoice; Their beauty this, their glorious dress, Jesus, Thy blood and righteousness.

1 John 3:1 - 3 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
1 Peter 1:15 - 23 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
Revelation 1:3 - 9 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, amen.
'I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending', saith the Lord, 'which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty'.
I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

O spread the tidings round, wherever man is found, Wherever human hearts and human woes abound; Let evry Christian tongue proclaim the joyful sound: The Comforter has come!
Refrain The Comforter has come, the Comforter has come! The Holy Ghost from Heavn, the Fathers promise givn; O spread the tidings round, wherever man is found The Comforter has come!
Lo, the great King of kings, with healing in His wings, To evry captive soul a full deliverance brings; And through the vacant cells the song of triumph rings; The Comforter has come!
Refrain
O boundless love divine! How shall this tongue of mine To wondring mortals tell the matchless grace divine That I, a child of hell, should in His image shine! The Comforter has come!

2 Kings 6:1 - 7 And the sons of the prophets said unto Elisha, 'Behold now, the place where we dwell with thee is too strait for us. Let us go, we pray thee, unto Jordan, and take thence every man a beam, and let us make us a place there, where we may dwell'. And he answered, 'Go ye'. And one said, 'Be content, I pray thee, and go with thy servants'. And he answered, 'I will go'. So he went with them.
And when they came to Jordan, they cut down wood. But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, 'Alas, master! for it was borrowed'. And the man of God said, 'Where fell it?' And he shewed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim. Therefore said he, 'Take it up to thee'. And he put out his hand, and took it.

... putting a new (old) song in my mouth
Jesus, my stength and righteousness, My Saviour, and my King, Triumphantly Thy name I bless, Thy conquering name I sing. Thou, Lord, hast magnified Thy name, Thou hast maintained They cause, And I enjoy the glorious shame, The scandal of Thy cross.
This is the saving power of God; Whoe'er this word receive, Feel all the effects of Jesu's blood, And sensibly believe; Saved from the guilt and power of sin By instantaneous grace, They trust to have Thy life brought in, And always see Thy face.
The pure in heart Thy face shall see Before they hence remove, Redeemed from all iniquity, And perfected in love. This is the great salvation! This The prize at which we aim, The end of faith, the hidden bliss, The new, mysterious name.
The name inscribed in the white stone, The unbeginning Word, The mystery so long unknown, The secret of the Lord. The living bread sent down from heaven, The saints' and angels' food, The immortal seed, the little leaven, The effluence of God!
The tree of life that blooms and grows In the midst of paradise, The pure and living stream that flows Back to its native skies; The Spirit's law, the convenant seal, The eternal righteousness, The glorious joy unspeakable, The unutterable peace!
The treasure in the gospel-field, The wisdom from above, Hid from the wise, to babes revealed, The precious pearl of love; The mystic power of godliness, The end of death and sin, The antepast of heavenly bliss, The kingdom fixed within.
The Morning Star that glittering bright, Shines to the perfect day, The Sun of Righteousness - the Light, The Life, the Truth, the Way; The image of the living God, His nature and His mind, Himself He hath on us bestowed, And all in Christ we find.

Revelation 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
