| Re: Today, I'm praising God for ... | | ... hope
Great God of wonders! All Thy ways Are matchless, Godlike and divine; But the fair glories of Thy grace More Godlike and unrivaled shine, Who is a pardoning God like Thee? Or who has grace so rich and free?
Crimes of such horror to forgive, Such guilty, daring worms to spare; This is Thy grand prerogative, And none shall in the honor share, Who is a pardoning God like Thee? Or who has grace so rich and free?
Angels and men, resign your claim To pity, mercy, love and grace: These glories crown Jehovahs Name With an incomparable glaze. Who is a pardoning God like Thee? Or who has grace so rich and free?
In wonder lost, with trembling joy, We take the pardon of our God: Pardon for crimes of deepest dye, A pardon bought with Jesu's blood, Who is a pardoning God like Thee? Or who has grace so rich and free?
O may this strange, this matchless grace, This Godlike miracle of love, Fill the whole earth with grateful praise, And all thangelic choirs above, Who is a pardoning God like Thee? Or who has grace so rich and free?

1 Corinthians 14:38, 39 But if anyone is ignorant, let him be ignorant.
Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues.

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for ... | | ... faith and the refreshing of the Spirit of the Lord to mine
Jesus, my Truth, my Way] My sure, unerring light, On Thee my feeble steps I stay, Which Thou wilt guide aright.
My Wisdom and my Guide, My Counsellor Thou art; O never let me leave Thy side, Or from Thy paths depart!
I lift my eyes to Thee, Thou gracious, bleeding Lamb, That I may now enlightened be, And never put to shame.
Never will I remove Out of Thy hands my cause; But rest in Thy redeeming love, And hang upon Thy cross.
Teach me the happy art In all things to depend On Thee; O never, Lord, depart, But love me to the end!
Still stir me up to strive With Thee in strength divine; And every moment, Lord, revive This fainting soul of mine.
Persist to save my soul Throughout the fiery hour, Till I am every whit made whole, And show forth all thy power.
Through fire and water bring Into the wealthy place; And teach me the new song to sing, When perfected in grace.
O make me all like Thee, Before I hence remove! Settle, confirm, and stablish me, And build me up in love.
Let me Thy witness live, When sin is all destroyed; And then my spotless soul receive, And take me home to God.

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for ... | | ... peace in my soul
Jesus, Thy boundless love to me No thought can reach, no tongue declare; Unite my thankful heart with Thee And reign without a rival there. To Thee alone, dear Lord, I live; Myself to Thee, dear Lord, I give.
O, grant that nothing in my soul May dwell but Thy pure love alone! Oh, may Thy love possess me whole, My joy, my treasure, and my crown! All coldness from my heart remove; My every act, word, thought, be love.
O love, how cheering is thy ray! All pain before thy presence flies; Care, anguish, sorrow, melt away Wherever thy healing beams arise. O Jesus, nothing may I see, Nothing desire or seek, but Thee!
This love unwearied I pursue And dauntlessly to Thee aspire. Oh, may Thy love my hope renew Burn in my soul like heavenly fire! And day and night be all my care To guard this sacred treasure there.
My Savior, Thou Thy love to me In shame, in want, in pain, hast showed; For me, on the accursed tree, Thou pourest forth Thy guiltless blood; Thy wounds upon my heart impress, Nor aught shall the loved stamp efface.
More hard than marble is my heart, And foul with sins of deepest stain; But Thou the mighty Savior art, Nor flowed thy cleansing blood in vain; Ah soften, melt this rock, and may Thy blood wash all these stains away!
O that I, as a little child, May follow Thee, and never rest Till sweetly Thou hast breathed Thy mild And lowly mind into my breast! Nor ever may we parted be, Till I become as one with Thee.
Still let Thy love point out my way; How wondrous things Thy love hath wrought! Still lead me, lest I go astray; Direct my word, inspire my thought; And if I fall, soon may I hear Thy voice, and know that love is near.
In suffering be Thy love my peace, In weakness be Thy love my power; And when the storms of life shall cease, Jesus, in that important hour, In death as life be Thou my guide, And save me, Who for me hast died.

1 Corinthians 15:1, 2 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you -- unless you believed in vain.

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for ... | | ... the Restorer of my soul and its restoration
I will sing of my Redeemer, And His wondrous love to me; On the cruel cross He suffered, From the curse to set me free.
Refrain Sing, oh sing, of my Redeemer, With His blood, He purchased me. On the cross, He sealed my pardon, Paid the debt, and made me free.
I will tell the wondrous story, How my lost estate to save, In His boundless love and mercy, He the ransom freely gave.
Refrain
I will praise my dear Redeemer, His triumphant power Ill tell, How the victory He giveth Over sin, and death, and hell.
Refrain
I will sing of my Redeemer, And His heavnly love to me; He from death to life hath brought me, Son of God with Him to be.

1 Corinthians 15:3 - 5 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve.

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for ... | | ... the many provisions of His love
With glorious clouds encompassed round, Whom angels dimly see, Will the Unsearchable be found, Or God appear to me?
Will He forsake His throne above, Himself to men impart? Answer, Thou Man of grief and love, And speak it to my heart.
Didst Thou not in our flesh appear, And live and die below, That I may now perceive Thee near, And my Redeemer know?
Come, then, and to my soul reveal The heights and depths of grace, Those wounds which all my sorrows heal, Which all my sins efface.
Then shall I see in His own light, Whom angels dimly see: And gaze, transported at the sight, To all eternity.

1 Corinthians 15:6 - 8 After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep.
After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles.
Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.

Metrical Psalm 93, Scottish Psalter
The Lord doth reign, and clothed is he with majesty most bright; His works do show him clothed to be, and girt about with might.
The world is also stablishèd, that it cannot depart. Thy throne is fixed of old, and thou from everlasting art.
The floods, O Lord, have lifted up, they lifted up their voice; The floods have lifted up their waves, and made a mighty noise.
But yet the Lord, that is on high, is more of might by far Than noise of many waters is, or great sea-billows are.
Thy testimonies ev'ry one in faithfulness excel; And holiness for ever, Lord, thine house becometh well.

1 Corinthians 15:9, 10 For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
