...His love and peace being ministered to my soul
At Your feet we fall, mighty risen Lord, as we come before Your throne to worship You. By Your Spirits power You now draw our hearts, and we hear Your voice in triumph ringing clear: I am He that liveth, that liveth and was dead. Behold I am alive for evermore.
There we see You stand, mighty risen Lord, clothed in garments pure and holy, shining bright; eyes of flashing fire, feet like burnished bronze, and the sound of many waters is Your voice, I am He that liveth....
Like the shining sun in its noon-day strength, we now see the glory of Your wondrous face: once that face was marred, but now Youre glorified; and Your words, like a two-edged sword have mighty power. I am He that liveth....

1 Corinthians 4:6 - 8 Now these things, brethren, I have figuratively transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes, that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up on behalf of one against the other. For who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it? You are already full! You are already rich! You have reigned as kings without us -- and indeed I could wish you did reign, that we also might reign with you!

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for .... | | ... a better day than yesterday! (Having said that, yesterday was wonderful in its own way - namely God's presence with me in the midst of the flotsam and jetsom of prince of the power of the air.) I will not be moved away from HIM and HIS LIFE!
All heaven declares the glory of the risen Lord; Who can compare with the beauty of the Lord? For ever He will be the Lamb upon the throne; I gladly bow the knee, and worship Him alone.
I will proclaim the glory of the risen Lord, who once was slain to reconcile man to God. For ever You will be the Lamb upon the throne; I gladly bow the knee, and worship You alone.

1 Corinthians 4:9 - 13 For I think that God has displayed us, the apostles, last, as men condemned to death; for we have been made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men.
We are fools for Christ's sake, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are dishonored! To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are poorly clothed, and beaten, and homeless. And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure; being defamed, we entreat. We have been made as the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things until now.

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for ... | | ... sunshine and rest, and being in Christ, and believing He is enough
Dear Lord and Father of mankind, Forgive our foolish ways; Reclothe us in our rightful mind, In purer lives Thy service find, In deeper reverence, praise.
In simple trust like theirs who heard, Beside the Syrian sea, The gracious calling of the Lord, Let us, like them, without a word, Rise up and follow Thee.
O Sabbath rest by Galilee, O calm of hills above, Where Jesus knelt to share with Thee The silence of eternity, Interpreted by love!
With that deep hush subduing all Our words and works that drown The tender whisper of Thy call, As noiseless let Thy blessing fall As fell Thy manna down.
Drop Thy still dews of quietness, Till all our strivings cease; Take from our souls the strain and stress, And let our ordered lives confess The beauty of Thy peace.
Breathe through the heats of our desire Thy coolness and Thy balm; Let sense be dumb, let flesh retire; Speak through the earthquake, wind, and fire, O still, small voice of calm.

1 Corinthians 4:14 - 21 I do not write these things to shame you, but as my beloved children I warn you. For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
Therefore I urge you, imitate me. For this reason I have sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful son in the Lord, who will remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach everywhere in every church. Now some are puffed up, as though I were not coming to you. But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord wills, and I will know, not the word of those who are puffed up, but the power. For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power. What do you want? Shall I come to you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of gentleness?

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for ... | | ... peace; practical and spiritual progress
My stubborn will at last hath yielded; I would be Thine, and Thine alone; And this the prayer my lips are bringing, Lord, let in me Thy will be done.
Refrain Sweet will of God, still fold me closer; Till I am wholly lost in Thee; Sweet will of God, still fold me closer, Till I am wholly lost in Thee.
Refrain
Im tired of sin, footsore and weary, The darksome path hath dreary grown, But now a light has risn to cheer me; I find in Thee my Star, my Sun.
Refrain
Thy precious will, O conquring Savior, Doth now embrace and compass me; All discords hushed, my peace a river, My soul, a prisoned bird, set free.
Refrain
Shut in with Thee, O Lord, forever, My wayward feet no more to roam; What powr from Thee my soul can sever? The center of Gods will my home.
Refrain

1 Corinthians 5:1 - 5 It is actually reported [that there is] sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles -- that a man has his father's wife! And you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you.
For I indeed, as absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged (as though I were present) him who has so done this deed. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for ... | | ... His wonderful ability to lead me on and crack my old shell of resistance to His workings
I clasp the hand of Love divine, I claim the gracious promise mine, And add to His my countersign "I take - He undertakes."
Refrain I take thee blessed Lord, I give myself to Thee And Thou, according to Thy word, Dost undertake for me.
I take salvation full and free, Thro' Him who gave His life for me, He undertakes my All to be, "I take - He undertakes."
Refrain
I take Him as my holiness, My spirit's spotless heav'nly dress, I take the Lord, my Righteousness, "I take - He undertakes."
Refrain
I take the promised Holy Ghost, I take the power of Pentecost, To fill me to the uttermost, "I take - He undertakes."
Refrain
I take Him for this mortal frame, I take my healing through His name, And all His risen life I claim, "I take - He undertakes."
Refrain
I simply take Him at His word; I trust Him that my prayer is heard And claim my answer from the Lord - I take - He undertakes.

Tune not available online, but this hymn follows wonderfully on yesterday's and carries a powerful message. Last verse added by others.
1 Corinthians 5: 6 - 8 Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?
Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.
Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. |

... new beginnings and hope in God
For the beauty of the earth For the glory of the skies, For the love which from our birth Over and around us lies.
Refrain Lord of all, to Thee we raise, This our hymn of grateful praise.
For the beauty of each hour, Of the day and of the night, Hill and vale, and tree and flower, Sun and moon, and stars of light.
Refrain
For the joy of ear and eye, For the heart and minds delight, For the mystic harmony Linking sense to sound and sight.
Refrain
For the joy of human love, Brother, sister, parent, child, Friends on earth and friends above, For all gentle thoughts and mild.
Refrain
For each perfect gift of Thine, To our race so freely given, Graces human and divine, Flowers of earth and buds of Heaven.
Refrain
For Thy Church, that evermore Lifteth holy hands above, Offering up on every shore Her pure sacrifice of love.

1 Corinthians 5:9 - 13 I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.
But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner -- not even to eat with such a person.
For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? But those who are outside God judges. Therefore "put away from yourselves the evil person."

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for .... | | ... practical progress and satisfaction with the work of my hands
I know not why Gods wondrous grace To me He hath made known, Nor why, unworthy, Christ in love Redeemed me for His own.
Refrain But I know Whom I have believèd, And am persuaded that He is able To keep that which Ive committed Unto Him against that day.
I know not how this saving faith To me He did impart, Nor how believing in His Word Wrought peace within my heart.
Refrain
I know not how the Spirit moves, Convincing us of sin, Revealing Jesus through the Word, Creating faith in Him.
Refrain
I know not what of good or ill May be reserved for me, Of weary ways or golden days, Before His face I see.
Refrain
I know not when my Lord may come, At night or noonday fair, Nor if I walk the vale with Him, Or meet Him in the air.

1 Corinthians 6:1 - 6 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?
Do you not know that the saints will judge the world?
And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
Do you not know that we shall judge angels?
How much more, things that pertain to this life?
If then you have judgments concerning things pertaining to this life, do you appoint those who are least esteemed by the church to judge?
I say this to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you, not even one, who will be able to judge between his brethren?
But brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers!

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for .... | | .... the way He puts one's life together like a jigsaw
1 Corinthians 6:7, 8 Now therefore, it is already an utter failure for you that you go to law against one another. Why do you not rather accept wrong? Why do you not rather let yourselves be cheated?
No, you yourselves do wrong and cheat, and you do these things to your brethren!
Jesus bids us shine With a pure, clear light, Like a little candle Burning in the night. In this world of darkness So let us shine You in your small corner, And I in mine.
Jesus bids us shine, First of all for Him; Well He sees and knows it, If our light grows dim. He looks down from Heaven To see us shine You in your small corner, And I in mine.
Jesus bids us shine, Then, for all around; Many kinds of darkness In the world are found Sin and want and sorrow; So we must shine You in your small corner, And I in mine.
