Today, I'm praising God for...

His blessings that are coming in faster than I can acknowledge them! Have never known anything like it and I thank thank thank Him.

For wireless interweb which means I can use me ole laptop now. Hallelujah!!

Also, for Christmas. For making people smiley and kinder. It's the one time of the year their hearts soften and they unconsciously allow in the joy of the Lord. May millions follow that feeling to Christ our saviour and find eternal life in Him. Amen!

Re: Today, I'm praising God for...

His generosity in allowing me to share in His joy. It's amazing that He'd give that to someone so wholly unworthy. God is so sparkly and wonderful.

I thank Him for leading me to "Prison to Praise" which may be the most important not-the-bible book I'll ever read.

Also for low calorie hot chocolate that tastes like the real thing.

His lessons in humility. It's a bitter pill to swallow, and I thank Him for loving me enough to make me do just that. I thank Him for showing me I'm prideful, and in error.

Also for here4Him and Heartsong who have demonstrated love so clearly it makes the sun shine brighter.

Also for dried roses.

... encouraging fellowship with young saints

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And all that is within me
Bless His holy name.

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And all that is within me
Bless His holy name.

King of kings (for ever and ever),
Lord of lords (for ever and ever),
King of kings (for ever and ever),
King of kings and Lord of Lords.

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And all that is within me
Bless His holy name.

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And all that is within me
Bless His holy name.

Re: Today, I'm praising God for...

I am thankful for my son, his beautiful wife, and their 3 precious children with whom I get to spend my Thanksgiving. :-)

Psalm 127:3-5 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.

Happy is the man [and woman] that hath his quiver full of them...

... His continual blessing and encouragement through testimony and the Spirit

Sing to the Lord a joyful song,
Lift up your hearts, your voices raise;
To us His gracious gifts belong,
To Him our songs of love and praise.

For life and love, for rest and food,
For daily help and nightly care,
Sing to the Lord, for He is good,
And praise His Name, for it is fair.

For strength to those who on Him wait,
His truth to prove, His will to do,
Praise ye our God, for He is great,
Trust in His Name, for it is true.

For joys untold, that from above
Cheer those who love His sweet employ,
Sing to our God, for He is love,
Exalt His Name, for it is joy.

For He is Lord of Heav’n and earth,
Whom angels serve and saints adore,
The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,
To Whom be praise forevermore.

I Corinthians 3:4 - 11
For when one says, "I am of Paul," and another, "I am of Apollos," are you not carnal? Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building. According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Re: Today, I'm praising God for...

The challenges of being a believer; the confusion, the fear, the silence - all tools in strengthening faith.

I praise Him for my worries, because I know He had them all planned even before I was conceived; and He'll light the way.

... revealing more of His desires for me, day by day

I am a new creation,

no more in condemnation,

here in the grace of God I stand.

My heart is overflowing,

my love just keeps on growing,

here in the grace of God I stand.

And I will praise You, Lord,

yes I will praise You, Lord,

and I will sing of all that You have done.

A joy that knows no limit,

a lightness in my spirit

here in the grace of God I stand.

1 Corinthians 3:9 -15
For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, you are God's building.

According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one's work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is.

If anyone's work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone's work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

... safe journey home and further opportunity to testify of the truth... may the Lord bless His word to all who read it...

I’m not ashamed to own my Lord,
Or to defend His cause;
Maintain the honor of His Word,
The glory of His cross.

Jesus, my God! I know His Name,
His Name is all my trust;
Nor will He put my soul to shame,
Nor let my hope be lost.

Firm as His throne His promise stands,
And He can well secure
What I’ve committed to His hands
Till the decisive hour.

Then will He own my worthless name
Before His Father’s face,
And in the new Jerusalem
Appoint my soul a place.

1 Corinthians 3:15 - 23
If anyone's work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, "He catches the wise in their own craftiness"; and again, "The LORD knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile."

Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours: whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come -- all are yours. And you are Christ's, and Christ is God's.

Re: Today, I'm praising God for ...

... His refreshings and whisper of love

O for a heart to praise my God,
A heart from sin set free,
A heart that always feels Thy blood
So freely shed for me.

A heart resigned, submissive, meek,
My great Redeemer’s throne,
Where only Christ is heard to speak,
Where Jesus reigns alone.

A humble, lowly, contrite, heart,
Believing, true and clean,
Which neither life nor death can part
From Christ who dwells within.

A heart in every thought renewed
And full of love divine,
Perfect and right and pure and good,
A copy, Lord, of Thine.

Thy tender heart is still the same,
And melts at human woe:
Jesus, for thee distressed I am,
I want Thy love to know.

My heart, Thou know’st, can never rest
Till Thou create my peace;
Till of mine Eden repossest,
From self, and sin, I cease.

Fruit of Thy gracious lips, on me
Bestow that peace unknown,
The hidden manna, and the tree
Of life, and the white stone.

Thy nature, gracious Lord, impart;
Come quickly from above;
Write Thy new name upon my heart,
Thy new, best name of Love.

1 Corinthians 4:1 - 5
Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.

But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by a human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself. For I know nothing against myself, yet I am not justified by this; but He who judges me is the Lord.

Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one's praise will come from God.
