| Re: Today, I'm praising God for ... | | ... His continual ministrations to my soul, my heart and my mind, of His truth and His heart
Jesus, Thou Joy of loving hearts, Thou Fount of life, Thou Light of men, From the best bliss that earth imparts, We turn unfilled to Thee again.
Thy truth unchanged hath ever stood; Thou savest those that on Thee call; To them that seek Thee Thou art good, To them that find Thee all in all.
We taste Thee, O Thou living Bread, And long to feast upon Thee still; We drink of Thee, the Fountainhead, And thirst our souls from Thee to fill.
Our restless spirits yearn for Thee, Wherever our changeful lot is cast; Glad when Thy gracious smile we see, Blessed when our faith can hold Thee fast.
O Jesus, ever with us stay, Make all our moments calm and bright; Chase the dark night of sin away, Shed over the world Thy holy light.

By this you know the Spirit of God:
Every spirit that confesses
that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh
is of God, 3 and every spirit
that does not confess that Jesus Christ
has come in the flesh
is not of God.

The Soul That Loves God Finds Him Everywhere (http://www.ccel.org/ccel/cowper/guyonpoems.H13.html)
O thou, by long experience tried, Near whom no grief can long abide; My love! how full of sweet content I pass my years of banishment! All scenes alike engaging prove To souls impressed with sacred love! Where'er they dwell, they dwell in thee; In heaven, in earth, or on the sea. To me remains nor place nor time; My country is in every clime; I can be calm and free from care On any shore, since God is there. While place we seek, or place we shun, The soul finds happiness in none; But, with a God to guide our way, 'Tis equal joy to go or stay. Could I be cast where thou art not, That were indeed a dreadful lot; But regions none remote I call, Secure of finding God in all. My country, Lord, art thou alone; Nor other can I claim or own; The point where all my wishes meet; My law, my love, life's only sweet! I hold by nothing here below; Appoint my journey and I go; Though pierced by scorn, oppressed by pride, I feel thee goodfeel nought beside. No frowns of men can hurtful prove To souls on fire with heavenly love; Though men and devils both condemn, No gloomy days arise from them. Ah, then! to his embrace repair; My soul, thou art no stranger there; There love divine shall be thy guard, And peace and safety thy reward.

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for .... | | ... revelation from the Lord...
NOW I have found the ground wherein Sure my soul's anchor may remain, The wounds of Jesus, for my sin Before the world's foundation slain; Whose mercy shall unshaken stay, When heaven and earth are fled away.
Father, thine everlasting grace Our scanty thought surpasses far, Thy heart still melts with tenderness, Thy arms of love still open are, Returning sinners to receive, That mercy they may taste and live.
O Love, thou bottomless abyss, My sins are swallowed up in thee! Covered is my unrighteousness, Nor spot of guilt remains on me, While Jesu's blood, through earth and skies, Mercy, free, boundless mercy, cries.
With faith I plunge me in this sea, Here is my hope, my joy, my rest; Hither, when hell assails, I flee, I look into my Saviour's breast; Away, sad doubt, and anxious fear! Mercy is all that's written there.
Though waves and storms go o'er my head, Though strength, and health, and friends be gone, Though joys be withered all and dead, Though every comfort be withdrawn, On this my steadfast soul relies, Father, thy mercy never dies.
Fixed on this ground will I remain, Though my heart fail, and flesh decay; This anchor shall my soul sustain, When earth's foundations melt away; Mercy's full power I then shall prove, Loved with an everlasting love.

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for... | | The Lord's patience that He has bestowed upon me over the years. Many times I should have died in my sins, but the Lord has been continually faithful even while I went afer the things my flesh craved for. Now I find the that the sins that used to master me and enslave me, not only has the Lord delivered me from almost all of them, but I am really, really growing to despise and hate all sin...PRAISE THE LORD richie _________________ Richie

When I saw the cleansing fountain Open wide for all my sin, I obeyed the Spirits wooing, When He said, Wilt thou be clean?
Refrain I will praise Him! I will praise Him! Praise the Lamb for sinners slain; Give Him glory, all ye people, For His blood can wash away each stain.
Though the way seems straight and narrow, All I claimed was swept away; My ambitions, plans and wishes, At my feet in ashes lay.
Refrain
Then Gods fire upon the altar Of my heart was set aflame; I shall never cease to praise Him Glory, glory to His Name!
Refrain
Blessèd be the Name of Jesus! Im so glad He took me in; Hes forgiven my transgressions, He has cleansed my heart from sin.

Years I spent in vanity and pride, Caring not my Lord was crucified, Knowing not it was for me He died On Calvary.
Refrain Mercy there was great, and grace was free; Pardon there was multiplied to me; There my burdened soul found liberty, At Calvary.
By God's Word at last my sin I learned; Then I trembled at the law I'd spurned, Till my guilty soul imploring turned To Calvary.
Refrain
Now I've giv'n to Jesus ev'rything; Now I gladly own Him as my King; Now my ransomed soul can only sing Of Calvary.
Refrain
Oh, the love that drew salvation's plan! Oh, the grace that brought it down to man! Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span At Calvary.

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for ... | | ... having held onto me when faith and hope were His gift to me, not mine to Him
When peace, like a river, attendeth my way, When sorrows like sea billows roll; Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say, It is well, it is well, with my soul.
Refrain It is well, with my soul, It is well, with my soul, It is well, it is well, with my soul.
Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come, Let this blest assurance control, That Christ has regarded my helpless estate, And hath shed His own blood for my soul.
Refrain
My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought! My sin, not in part but the whole, Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more, Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!
Refrain
For me, be it Christ, be it Christ hence to live: If Jordan above me shall roll, No pang shall be mine, for in death as in life Thou wilt whisper Thy peace to my soul.
Refrain
But, Lord, tis for Thee, for Thy coming we wait, The sky, not the grave, is our goal; Oh trump of the angel! Oh voice of the Lord! Blessèd hope, blessèd rest of my soul!
Refrain
And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight, The clouds be rolled back as a scroll; The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend, Even so, it is well with my soul.

Praise, my soul, the King of Heaven; To His feet thy tribute bring. Ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven, Evermore His praises sing: Alleluia! Alleluia! Praise the everlasting King.
Praise Him for His grace and favor To our fathers in distress. Praise Him still the same as ever, Slow to chide, and swift to bless. Alleluia! Alleluia! Glorious in His faithfulness.
Fatherlike He tends and spares us; Well our feeble frame He knows. In His hands He gently bears us, Rescues us from all our foes. Alleluia! Alleluia! Widely as His mercy flows.
Frail as summers flower we flourish, Blows the wind and it is gone; But while mortals rise and perish God endures unchanging on, Praise Him, Praise Him, Hallelujah Praise the High Eternal One!
Angels, help us to adore Him; We behold Him face to face; Sun and moon, bow down before Him, Dwellers all in time and space. Alleluia! Alleluia! Praise with us the God of grace.

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for ... | | ... His mercies to my ineptitudes, His love to me through the saints, and His hearing and answering my barely spoken prayers
Let earth and Heaven combine, Angels and men agree, To praise in songs divine The incarnate Deity, Our God contracted to a span, Incomprehensibly made Man.
He laid His glory by, He wrapped Him in our clay; Unmarked by human eye, The latent Godhead lay; Infant of days He here became, And bore the mild Immanuels Name.
See in that Infants face The depths of deity, And labor while ye gaze To sound the mystery In vain; ye angels gaze no more, But fall, and silently adore.
Unsearchable the love That hath the Savior brought; The grace is far above Of men or angels thought: Suffice for us that God, we know, Our God, is manifest below.
He deigns in flesh tappear, Widest extremes to join; To bring our vileness near, And make us all divine: And we the life of God shall know, For God is manifest below.
Made perfect first in love, And sanctified by grace, We shall from earth remove, And see His glorious face: His love shall then be fully showed, And man shall all be lost in God.
