Re: Today, I'm praising God for ...

... for the way He weaves lives and times their interactions perfectly

(KJV) John 15:1
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

5 I am the vine, ye the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Resting on the faithfulness of Christ our Lord,
Resting on the fulness of His own sure word:
Resting on the on His wisdom, on His love and power,
Resting on His covenant from hour to hour.

Resting 'neath His guiding hand for untracked days,
Resting 'neath His shadow from the noontide rays;
Resting at the eventide beneath His wing,
In the fair pavilion of our Saviour-King.

Resting in the fortress while the foe is nigh,
Resting in the lifeboat while the waves roll high;
Resting in His chariot for the swift, glad race,
Resting, always resting, in His boundless grace.

Resting in the pastures, and beneath the Rock,
Resting by the waters where He leads His flock;
Resting, while we listen at His glorious feet,
Resting in His arms of love - oh, rest complete!

Resting and believing, let us onward press,
Resting on Himself, "the Lord our Righteousness!"
Resting and rejoicing, let His saved ones sing -
" Glory, glory, glory be to Christ our King!"

I am resting, resting, in the joy of what Thou art,
Finding out the greatness of Thy loving heart.

(Truncated chorus from 'Jesus, I am resting, resting' - for St Gertrude only.)

 Re:

I had a friend say that, "you don't have to think of just one really good thing that you want to do for the Lord and then tell Him that one thing - or prioritize the things that you want to do for Him and bring what you think is the best to Him." That helped me so much, I am so thankful that I can tell the Lord Everything I want to do for Him and trust Him with those desires.

So thankful for the Body of Christ. Received prayer from home church group last night about opening my heart up more to the Lord. I am so thankful that the Lord is breaking through parts of my heart that I wouldn't have even thought about giving to Him - or thought necessary in my walk with Him. But it is so important to Him.

I am so thankful that He is faithful to change every worldly and fleshly perception I have of Him. His goodness toward me truly does grip my heart.

 Re: Today, I'm praising God for ...

... rest in Him, and His word coming faithfully through others

(KJV) John 15:2 - 4, 6 - 9
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

O Christ, in Thee my soul hath found,
And found in Thee alone,
The peace, the joy I sought so long,
The bliss till now unknown.

Refrain
Now none but Christ can satisfy,
None other name for me;
There's love, and life, and lasting joy,
Lord Jesus, found in Thee.

I sighed for rest and happiness,
I yearned for them, not Thee;
But while I passed my Saviour by,
His love laid hold on me.

Refrain

I tried the broken cisterns, Lord,
But ah! the waters failed!
E'en as I stooped to drink they'd fled,
And mocked me as I wailed.

Refrain

The pleasures lost I sadly mourned,
But never wept for Thee,
Till grace the sightless eyes received,
Thy loveliness to see.

Refrain

 Re: Today, I'm praising God for ...

... making me ready to obey Him in a challenging area of my life

(KJV) John 15
10 If ye keep my commandments,
ye shall abide in my love;
even as I have kept my Father's commandments,
and abide in his love.
11 These things have I spoken unto you,
that my joy might remain in you,
and your joy might be full.

I’m not ashamed to own my Lord,
Or to defend His cause;
Maintain the honor of His Word,
The glory of His cross.

Jesus, my God! I know His Name,
His Name is all my trust;
Nor will He put my soul to shame,
Nor let my hope be lost.

Firm as His throne His promise stands,
And He can well secure
What I’ve committed to His hands
Till the decisive hour.

Then will He own my worthless name
Before His Father’s face,
And in the new Jerusalem
Appoint my soul a place

 Re: Today, I'm praising God for ...

... a glorious day for a journey, and fresh fellowship with elder brethren :-)

(KJV) John 15
12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

Dying with Jesus, by death reckoned mine;
Living with Jesus, a new life divine;
Looking to Jesus till glory doth shine,
Moment by moment, O Lord, I am Thine.

Refrain
Moment by moment I'm kept in His love;
Moment by moment I've life from above;
Looking to Jesus till glory doth shine;
Moment by moment, O Lord, I am Thine.

Never a trial that He is not there,
Never a burden that He doth not bear,
Never a sorrow that He doth not share,
Moment by moment, I'm under His care.

Refrain

Never a heartache, and never a groan,
Never a teardrop and never a moan;
Never a danger but there on the throne,
Moment by moment He thinks of His own.

Refrain

Never a weakness that He doth not feel,
Never a sickness that He cannot heal;
Moment by moment, in woe or in weal,
Jesus my Savior, abides with me still.

Refrain

 Re: Today, I'm praising God for...

... more healing... of yet another part of my inner man; hallelujah! God is GOOD!

(KJV) John 15:16
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

Soldiers of Christ, arise, and put your armor on,
Strong in the strength which God supplies through His eternal Son.
Strong in the Lord of hosts, and in His mighty power,
Who in the strength of Jesus trusts is more than conqueror.

Stand then in His great might, with all His strength endued,
But take, to arm you for the fight, the panoply of God;
To keep your armor bright, attend with constant care,
Still walking in your Captain’s sight, and watching unto prayer.

From strength to strength go on, wrestle and fight and pray,
Tread all the powers of darkness down and win the well fought day.
That having all things done and all your conflicts past,
Ye may o'ercome through Christ alone and stand complete, at last.

 Re:

Wow, that picture. Wow.

I'm in 'teary' eyes right now because of this scripture.

1 Corin. 13:4-5 (NKJV)
Love......thinks no evil.

I've resently been scared God to give my 'all' because I'm afraid of Him doing something crazy, that I don't want to do. My heart and calling is where I'm at now. And because of my past, when I was in the right place, I was SNATCHED from there.

And that has caused a stronghold. But wow! God thinks NO evil. (Please, don't preach to me, because, wow! THIS is what I needed to hear from God for a WHILE!)

Praise God!

 Re: Today, I'm praising God for ...

... blessing Joshua with a new revelation from the written word; and giving me another safe journey, and opportunities to testify of His life.

(KJV) John 15:17 - 25
These things I command you, that ye love one another. If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.

If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.

He that hateth me hateth my Father also. If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father. But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

The day Thou gavest, Lord, is ended,
The darkness falls at Thy behest;
To Thee our morning hymns ascended,
Thy praise shall sanctify our rest.

We thank Thee that Thy church, unsleeping,
While earth rolls onward into light,
Through all the world her watch is keeping,
And rests not now by day or night.

As o’er each continent and island
The dawn leads on another day,
The voice of prayer is never silent,
Nor dies the strain of praise away.

The sun that bids us rest is waking
Our brethren ’neath the western sky,
And hour by hour fresh lips are making
Thy wondrous doings heard on high.

So be it, Lord; Thy throne shall never,
Like earth’s proud empires, pass away:
Thy kingdom stands, and grows forever,
Till all Thy creatures own Thy sway.
