Quickened with our immortal Head, Who daily, Lord, ascend with Thee, Redeemed from sin, and free indeed, We taste our glorious liberty;
Saved from the fear of hell and death, With joy we seek the things above, And all The saints the Spirit breathe Of power, sobriety, and love.
Power o'er the world, the fiend and sin, We, in Thy gracious Spirit, feel Full power the victory to win, And answer all Thy righteous will;
Pure love to God Thy members find, Pure love to every soul of man, And in Thy sober, spotless mind, Saviour, our heaven on earth we gain.

(NKJV) John 12:9 - 19, 37, 42, 43 Now a great many of the Jews knew that He was there; and they came, not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might also see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead. But the chief priests plotted to put Lazarus to death also, because on account of him many of the Jews went away and believed in Jesus.
The next day a great multitude that had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him, and cried out: "Hosanna! 'Blessed He who comes in the name of the LORD!' The King of Israel!" Then Jesus, when He had found a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written: "Fear not, daughter of Zion; Behold, your King is coming, Sitting on a donkey's colt." His disciples did not understand these things at first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about Him and they had done these things to Him.
Therefore the people, who were with Him when He called Lazarus out of his tomb and raised him from the dead, bore witness. For this reason the people also met Him, because they heard that He had done this sign. The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, "You see that you are accomplishing nothing. Look, the world has gone after Him!"
37 But although He had done so many signs before them, they did not believe in Him, that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled... 42 Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

| Re: Here is Love | | A Welsh hymn sung frequently during the 1904 Welsh Revival under the preaching of Evan Roberts
Here is love, vast as the ocean, Lovingkindness as the flood, When the Prince of Life, our Ransom, Shed for us His precious blood. Who His love will not remember? Who can cease to sing His praise? He can never be forgotten, Throughout Heavns eternal days.
On the mount of crucifixion, Fountains opened deep and wide; Through the floodgates of Gods mercy Flowed a vast and gracious tide. Grace and love, like mighty rivers, Poured incessant from above, And Heavns peace and perfect justice Kissed a guilty world in love.
Let me all Thy love accepting, Love Thee, ever all my days; Let me seek Thy kingdom only And my life be to Thy praise; Thou alone shalt be my glory, Nothing in the world I see. Thou hast cleansed and sanctified me, Thou Thyself hast set me free.
In Thy truth Thou dost direct me By Thy Spirit through Thy Word; And Thy grace my need is meeting, As I trust in Thee, my Lord. Of Thy fullness Thou art pouring Thy great love and power on me, Without measure, full and boundless, Drawing out my heart to Thee.
"Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins;" (I Jn. 4:10)

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for... | | ... keeping me in His love and bringing me His wisdom
(NKJV) James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
John 12:44 - 50 Then Jesus cried out and said, "He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. I have come, a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness. And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him -- the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.
For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak."
Jesus, keep me near the cross, There a precious fountain, Free to all--a healing stream, Flows from Calv'ry's mountain.
Chorus
In the cross, in the cross, Be my glory ever; From the cross my ransomed soul Nothing then shall sever.
Near the cross, a trembling soul, Love and mercy found me; There the Bright and Morning Star Sheds its beams around me.
Chorus
Near the cross! O Lamb of God, Bring its scenes before me; Help me walk from day to day, With its shadow o'er me.
Chorus
Near the cross I'll watch and wait, Hoping, trusting ever, Till I see my Savior's face, Leave His presence never.
Chorus

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for ... | | ... continuing to pour His love and peace into my heart.
(NKJV) John 13:1 - 26 Now before the feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end. And supper being ended, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray Him, Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God, rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself.
After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded. Then He came to Simon Peter. And Peter said to Him, "Lord, are You washing my feet?" Jesus answered and said to him, "What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this." Peter said to Him, "You shall never wash my feet!" Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me." Simon Peter said to Him, "Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!" Jesus said to him, "He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you." For He knew who would betray Him; therefore He said, "You are not all clean."
So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, "Do you know what I have done to you? You call me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. I do not speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen; but that the Scripture may be fulfilled, 'He who eats bread with Me has lifted up his heel against Me.'
Now I tell you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe that I am He. Most assuredly, I say to you, he who receives whomever I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me." When Jesus had said these things, He was troubled in spirit, and testified and said, "Most assuredly, I say to you, one of you will betray Me." Then the disciples looked at one another, perplexed about whom He spoke.
Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved. Simon Peter therefore motioned to him to ask who it was of whom He spoke. Then, leaning back on Jesus' breast, he said to Him, "Lord, who is it?" Jesus answered, "It is he to whom I shall give a piece of bread when I have dipped it." And having dipped the bread, He gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.
My heart and voice I raise, To spread Messiah's praise; Messiah's praise let all repeat: The universal Lord, By whose almighty word Creation rose in form complete.
A servant's form He wore, And in His body bore Our dreadful curse on Calvary: He like a victim stood, And poured His sacred blood To set the guilty captives free.
But soon the Voctor rose, Triumphant o'er His foes, And led the vanquished host in chains: He threw their empire down, His foes compelled to own O'er all the great Messiah reigns.
With mercy's mildest grace He governs all our race, In wisdom, righteousness and love; Who to Messiah fly Shall find redemption nigh And all His great salvation, prove.
Hail, Saviour, Prince of Peace! Thy kingdom shall increase, Till all the world Thy glory see, And righteousness abound, As the great deep profound, And fill the earth with purity!

| Re: | | ... enabling me to express the thoughts of my heart in words to Him, and others ...
(NKJV) John 13:27 - 38 Now after the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Then Jesus said to him, "What you do, do quickly." But no one at the table knew for what reason He said this to him. For some thought, because Judas had the money box, that Jesus had said to him, "Buy those things we need for the feast," or that he should give something to the poor. Having received the piece of bread, he then went out immediately. And it was night.
So, when he had gone out, Jesus said, "Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in Him. If God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself, and glorify Him immediately. Little children, I shall be with you a little while longer. You will seek Me; and as I said to the Jews, 'Where I am going, you cannot come,' so now I say to you. A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."
Simon Peter said to Him, "Lord, where are You going?" Jesus answered him, "Where I am going you cannot follow Me now, but you shall follow Me afterward." Peter said to Him, "Lord, why can I not follow You now? I will lay down my life for Your sake." Jesus answered him, "Will you lay down your life for My sake? Most assuredly, I say to you, the rooster shall not crow till you have denied Me three times.
O Thou Who camest from above, The pure celestial fire to impart, Kindle a flame of sacred love (Up)on the mean altar of my heart.
There let it for Thy glory burn With inextinguishable blaze, And trembling to its source return, In humble prayer and fervent praise.
Jesus, confirm my hearts desire To work and speak and think for Thee; Still let me guard the holy fire, And still stir up Thy gift in me.
Ready for all Thy perfect will, My acts of faith and love repeat, Till death Thy endless mercies seal, And make my sacrifice complete.

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for ... | | ... reminding me of a word heard long ago, interpreting it to my understanding and bringing me great peace
(NKJV) John 14:1 - 10 "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know."
Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him."
Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us." Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.
LET earth and heaven agree, Angels and men be joined, To celebrate with me The Saviour of mankind; To adore the all-atoning Lamb, And bless the sound of Jesu's name.
Jesus, transporting sound! The joy of earth and heaven; No other help is found, No other name is given, By which we can salvation have; But Jesus came the world to save. Jesus, harmonious name! It charms the hosts above; They evermore proclaim And wonder at His love; 'Tis all their happiness to gaze, 'Tis heaven to see our Jesu's face.
His name the sinner hears, And is from sin set free; 'Tis music in his ears, 'Tis life and victory; New songs do now his lips employ, And dances his glad heart for joy.
Stung by the scorpion sin, My poor expiring soul The balmy sound drinks in, And is at once made whole: See there my Lord upon the tree! I hear, I feel, he died for me.
O unexampled love! O all-redeeming grace! How swiftly didst Thou move To save a fallen race! What shall I do to make it known What Thou for all mankind hast done?
O for a trumpet voice, On all the world to call! To bid their hearts rejoice In Him who died for all; For all my Lord was crucified, For all, for all my Saviour died!

Matthew 28:16 - 20 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the end of the age." | Re: Today, Sunday, I'm praising God for ... | | ... continuing to put my head straight and draw my eyes towards Jesus
(NKJV) John 14:11 - 21 "Believe Me that I [am] in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
If you ask anything in My name, I will do. If you love Me, keep My commandments.
And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever -- the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also.
At that day you will know I in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.
He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him."
Eternal Light! eternal Light! How pure the soul must be When, placed within Thy searching sight, It shrinks not, but with calm delight Can live, and look on Thee!
The spirits that surround Thy throne May bear the burning bliss; But that is surely theirs alone, Since they have never, never known A fallen world like this.
O how shall I, whose native sphere Is dark, whose mind is dim, Before the Ineffable appear, And on my naked spirit bear That uncreated beam?
There is a way for man to rise To that sublime abode: An offering and a sacrifice, A Holy Spirits energies, An Advocate with God.
These, these prepare us for the sight Of holiness above; The sons of ignorance and night, May dwell in the eternal Light, Through the eternal Love.

Thou hidden Source of calm repose, Thou all-sufficient Love Divine, My Help and Refuge from my foes, Secure I am if Thou art mine; And lo! from sin and grief and shame I hide me, Jesus, in Thy name.
Thy mighty name salvation is, And keeps my happy soul above, Comfort it brings, and power and peace, And joy and everlasting love; To me with Thy dear name are given Pardon and holiness and heaven.
Jesus, my all in all Thou art, My rest in toil, my ease in pain, The healing of my broken heart, In war my peace, in loss my gain, My smile beneath the tyrant's frown, In shame my glory and my crown.
In want my plentiful supply, In weakness my almighty power, In bonds my perfect liberty, My light in Satan's darkest hour, In grief my joy unspeakable, My life in death, my heaven in hell.

These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

O LOVE divine, how sweet Thou art! When shall I find my willing heart All taken up by Thee? I thirst, I faint, I die to prove The greatness of redeeming love, The love of Christ to me!
Stronger His love than death or hell; Its riches are unsearchable; The first-born sons of light Desire in vain its depths to see, They cannot reach the mystery, The length, and breadth, and height.
God only knows the love of God; O that it now were shed abroad In this poor stony heart! For love I sigh, for love I pine: This only portion, Lord, be mine, Be mine this better part!
O that I could for ever sit With Mary at the Master's feet! Be this my happy choice: My only care, delight, and bliss, My joy, my heaven on earth, be this, To hear the Bridegroom's voice!
O that with humbled Peter I Could weep, believe, and thrice reply My faithfulness to prove, "Thou know'st (for all to Thee is known), "Thou know'st, O Lord, and Thou alone, Thou know'st that Thee I love!"
O that I could with favoured John Recline my weary head upon The great Redeemer's breast! From care, and sin, and sorrow free, Give me, O Lord, to find in Thee My everlasting rest.
