| Re: Today, I'm praising God for ... | | ... a very precious time enjoying His written word, moments of glorious revelation and quiet rejoicing in truth.
Jesus, my strength and righteousness, My Saviour, and my King, Triumphantly, Thy name I bless, Thy conquering name I sing; Thou, Lord, hast magnified Thy name, Thou hast maintained Thy cause, And I enjoy the glorious shame, The scandal of Thy cross.
This is the saving power of God; Whoe'er this word receive, Feel all the effects of Jesu's blood, And sensibly believe; Saved from the guilt and power of sin By instantaneous grace, They trust to have Thy life brought in, And always see Thy face.
The pure in heart Thy face shall see Before they hence remove, Redeemed from all iniquity, And perfected in love. This is the great salvation! This The prize at which we aim, The end of faith, the hidden bliss, The new, mysterious name.
The name inscribed in the white stone, The unbeginning Word, The mystery so long unknown, The secret of the Lord. The living bread sent down from heaven, The saints' and angels' food, The immortal seed, the little leaven, The effluence of God!
The tree of life, that blooms and grows In the midst of paradise, The pure and living stream, that flows Back to its native skies; The Spirit's law, the covenant seal, The eternal righteousness, The glorious joy unspeakable, The unutterable peace!
The treasure in the gospel-field, The wisdom from above, Hid from the wise, to babes revealed, The precious pearl of love; The mystic power of godliness, The end of death and sin, The antepast of heavnly bliss, The kingdom fixed within.
The Morning Star, that glittering bright, Shines to the perfect day, The Sun of Righteousness - the Light, The Life, the Truth, the Way! The image of the living God, His nature, and His mind, Himself He hath on us bestowed, And all in Christ we find.

(NKJV) Revelation 2:17 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it."
(NASB) Exodus 28:30 "You shall put in the breastpiece of judgment the Urim and the Thummim, and they shall be over Aaron's heart when he goes in before the LORD; and Aaron shall carry the judgment of the sons of Israel over his heart before the LORD continually."
Numbers 27:21 And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before the LORD: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.
(NKJV) John 10:7 - 10 Then Jesus said to them again,
"Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them.
I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.
I have come that they may have life, and that they may have more abundantly.
Revelation 22 1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree for the healing of the nations.

Psalm 27:1 - 6 (Metrical)
The Lord's my light and saving health, who shall make me dismayed? My life's strength is the Lord, of whom then shall I be afraid?
When as mine enemies and foes, most wicked persons all, To eat my flesh against me rose, they stumbled and did fall.
Against me though an host encamp, my heart yet fearless is: Though war against me rise, I will be confident in this.
One thing I of the Lord desired, and will seek to obtain, That all days of my life I may within God's house remain;
That I the beauty of the Lord behold may and admire, And that I in his holy place may rev'rently enquire.
For he in his pavilion shall me hide in evil days; In secret of his tent me hide, and on a rock me raise.
And now, ev'n at this present time, mine head shall lifted be Above all those that are my foes, and round encompass me:
Therefore unto his tabernacle I'll sacrifices bring Of joyfulness; I'll sing, yea, I to God will praises sing.

(Young's Literal) Galatians 5
13 For ye--to freedom ye were called, brethren, only not the freedom for an occasion to the flesh, but through the love serve ye one another, 14 for all the law in one word is fulfilled--in this: `Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself;' 15 and if one another ye do bite and devour, see--that ye may not by one another be consumed.
16 And I say: In the Spirit walk ye, and the desire of the flesh ye may not complete; 17 for the flesh doth desire contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit contrary to the flesh, and these are opposed one to another, that the things that ye may will--these ye may not do; 18 and if by the Spirit ye are led, ye are not under law. 19 And manifest also are the works of the flesh, which are: Adultery, whoredom, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, strifes, emulations, wraths, rivalries, dissensions, sects, 21 envyings, murders, drunkennesses, revellings, and such like, of which I tell you before, as I also said before, that those doing such things the reign of God shall not inherit.
22 And the fruit of the Spirit is: Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 meekness, temperance: against such there is no law; 24 and those who are Christ's, the flesh did crucify with the affections, and the desires; 25 if we may live in the Spirit, in the Spirit also we may walk; 26 let us not become vain-glorious--one another provoking, one another envying!

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for ... | | ...the beauty of His presence, His glorious creation - the sun, the moon, the stars - and the love of friends.
How beautiful the mystery: Theternal Word comes down To live and love and die and rise, To claim His victors crown.
Content we find Him cradled there Amongst the filth and beasts. Who would believe that He will be Our guide from death to peace!
By angry swords and dark decree Hes driven from His land. But still He humbly bows His head To trust His Fathers hand.
The spotless Lamb lays down His life, A curse upon a cross. Then lives that He might guarantee That no sheep will be lost.
O! May our hearts grow ever fond Of Marys precious boy: Our Christ, our hope, our hearts desire, Our King and Sovreign Joy!

John 1:1 - 3, 14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made..... And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
Revelation 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
Matthew 2:11b - And when [the wise men from the East] had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way.
Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, "Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him." When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt, and was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, "Out of Egypt I called My Son."
JOhn 17:1b, 2 "Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him."
11 "Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We.
26 "And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them."
Galatians 3:10, 13 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them." Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree")
(Tyndale) Romans 6:8, 9 Wherefore if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall live with him; remembering that Christ, once raised from death, dieth no more. Death hath no more power over him.

Here is love, vast as the ocean, Lovingkindness as the flood, When the Prince of Life, our Ransom, Shed for us His precious blood. Who His love will not remember? Who can cease to sing His praise? He can never be forgotten, Throughout Heavns eternal days.
On the mount of crucifixion, Fountains opened deep and wide; Through the floodgates of Gods mercy Flowed a vast and gracious tide. Grace and love, like mighty rivers, Poured incessant from above, And Heavns peace and perfect justice Kissed a guilty world in love.
Let me all Thy love accepting, Love Thee, ever all my days; Let me seek Thy kingdom only And my life be to Thy praise; Thou alone shalt be my glory, Nothing in the world I see. Thou hast cleansed and sanctified me, Thou Thyself hast set me free.
In Thy truth Thou dost direct me By Thy Spirit through Thy Word; And Thy grace my need is meeting, As I trust in Thee, my Lord. Of Thy fullness Thou art pouring Thy great love and power on me, Without measure, full and boundless, Drawing out my heart to Thee.

'..but seek ye first the reign of God and His righteousness, and all these shall be added to you.
Be not therefore anxious for the morrow, for the morrow shall be anxious for its own things; sufficient for the day the evil of it. (YNG) Matthew 6:33, 34
Love not ye the world, nor the things in the world; if any one doth love the world, the love of the Father is not in him, because all that is in the world--the desire of the flesh, and the desire of the eyes, and the ostentation of the life--is not of the Father, but of the world, and the world doth pass away, and the desire of it, and he who is doing the will of God, he doth remain--to the age.
Little youths, it is the last hour; and even as ye heard that the antichrist doth come, even now antichrists have become many--whence we know that it is the last hour; out of us they went forth, but they were not of us, for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but--that they might be manifested that they are not all of us. And ye have an anointing from the Holy One, and have known all things; I did not write to you because ye have not known the truth, but because ye have known it, and because no lie is of the truth. Who is the liar, except he who is denying that Jesus is the Christ? this one is the antichrist who is denying the Father and the Son; every one who is denying the Son, neither hath he the Father, [he who is confessing the Son hath the Father also.]

Lo! He comes with clouds descending, Once for favored sinners slain; Thousand thousand saints attending, Swell the triumph of His train: Hallelujah! Hallelujah! God appears on earth to reign.
Every eye shall now behold Him Robed in dreadful majesty; Those who set at naught and sold Him, Pierced and nailed Him to the tree, Deeply wailing, deeply wailing, Shall the true Messiah see.
The dear tokens of His passion Still His dazzling body bears; Cause of endless exultation To His ransomed worshippers; With what rapture, with what rapture Gaze we on those glorious scars!
Yea, Amen! let all adore Thee, High on Thine eternal throne; Savior, take the power and glory, Claim the kingdom for Thine own; Jah, Jehovah, (these are Wesley's original words) Everlasting God, come down!

Zechariah 12:7 - 14 " The LORD will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall not become greater than that of Judah. In that day the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; the one who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of the LORD before them.
It shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn. In that day there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning at Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo.
And the land shall mourn, every family by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of Shimei by itself, and their wives by themselves; all the families that remain, every family by itself, and their wives by themselves."
Zechariah 13:1, 2 "In that day a fountain shall be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness. It shall be in that day," says the LORD of hosts, " I will cut off the names of the idols from the land, and they shall no longer be remembered. I will also cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to depart from the land.

(Young) John 13:1 - And before the feast of the passover, Jesus knowing that his hour hath come, that he may remove out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own who are in the world--to the end he loved them. And supper being come, the devil already having put into the heart of Judas of Simon, Iscariot, that he may deliver him up, Jesus knowing that all things the Father hath given to him--into his hands, and that from God he came forth, and unto God he goeth, doth rise from the supper, and doth lay down his garments, and having taken a towel, he girded himself; afterward he putteth water into the basin, and began to wash the feet of his disciples, and to wipe with the towel with which he was being girded.
He cometh, therefore, unto Simon Peter, and that one saith to him, `Sir, thou--dost thou wash my feet?' Jesus answered and said to him, `That which I do thou hast not known now, but thou shalt know after these things;' Peter saith to him, `Thou mayest not wash my feet--to the age.' Jesus answered him, `If I may not wash thee, thou hast no part with me;' Simon Peter saith to him, `Sir, not my feet only, but also the hands and the head.' Jesus saith to him, `He who hath been bathed hath no need save to wash his feet, but he is clean altogether; and ye are clean, but not all;' for he knew him who is delivering him up; because of this he said, `Ye are not all clean.'
When, therefore, he washed their feet, and took his garments, having reclined (at meat) again, he said to them, `Do ye know what I have done to you? ye call me, The Teacher and The Lord, and ye say well, for I am; if then I did wash your feet--the Lord and the Teacher--ye also ought to wash one another's feet. `For an example I gave to you, that, according as I did to you, ye also may do; verily, verily, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his lord, nor an apostle greater than he who sent him; if these things ye have known, happy are ye, if ye may do them; not concerning you all do I speak; I have known whom I chose for myself; but that the Writing may be fulfilled: He who is eating the bread with me, did lift up against me his heel. `From this time I tell you, before its coming to pass, that, when it may come to pass, ye may believe that I am; verily, verily, I say to you, he who is receiving whomsoever I may send, doth receive me; and he who is receiving me, doth receive Him who sent me.'
Genesis 3: 9 - 15 And Jehovah God calleth unto the man, and saith to him, `Where art thou?' and he saith, `Thy sound I have heard in the garden, and I am afraid, for I am naked, and I hide myself.'
And He saith, `Who hath declared to thee that thou art naked? of the tree of which I have commanded thee not to eat, hast thou eaten?' and the man saith, `The woman whom Thou didst place with me--she hath given to me of the tree--and I do eat.'
And Jehovah God saith to the woman, `What is this thou hast done?' and the woman saith, `The serpent hath caused me to forget--and I do eat.'
And Jehovah God saith unto the serpent, `Because thou hast done this, cursed art thou above all the cattle, and above every beast of the field: on thy belly dost thou go, and dust thou dost eat, all days of thy life; and enmity I put between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; he doth bruise thee--the head, and thou dost bruise him--the heel.'

Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace to you, searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow.
To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven -- things which angels desire to look into.
Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, [as] in your ignorance; but as He who called you [is] holy, you also be holy in all conduct, because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy."
And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay [here] in fear; knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, [like] silver or gold, from your aimless conduct [received] by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

(Tyndale) Ephesians 1:3 -14 Blessed be God the father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which hath blessed us with all manner of spiritual blessing in heavenly things by Christ, according as he had chosen us in him before the foundation of the world was laid, that we should be saints, and without blame before him, through love. And ordained us before through Jesus Christ to be heirs unto himself, according to the pleasure of his will, to the praise of the glory of his grace wherewith he has made us accepted in the beloved.
By whom we have redemption through his blood even the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace, which grace he shed on us abundantly in all wisdom, and perceivance. And hath opened unto us the mystery of his will, according to his pleasure, and purposed the same in himself to have it declared, when the time were full come, that all things, both the things which are in heaven, and also the things which are in earth, should be gathered together, even in Christ: that is to say, in him in whom we are made heirs, and were thereto predestinate according to the purpose of him which worketh all things after the purpose of his own will: that we which before believed in Christ should be to the praise of his glory.

Of the Fathers love begotten, ere the worlds began to be, He is Alpha and Omega, He the source, the ending He, Of the things that are, that have been, And that future years shall see, evermore and evermore!
At His Word the worlds were framèd; He commanded; it was done: Heaven and earth and depths of ocean in their threefold order one; All that grows beneath the shining Of the moon and burning sun, evermore and evermore!
He is found in human fashion, death and sorrow here to know, That the race of Adams children doomed by law to endless woe, May not henceforth die and perish In the dreadful gulf below, evermore and evermore!
O that birth forever blessèd, when the virgin, full of grace, By the Holy Ghost conceiving, bare the Saviour of our race; And the Babe, the worlds Redeemer, First revealed His sacred face, evermore and evermore!
This is He Whom seers in old time chanted of with one accord; Whom the voices of the prophets promised in their faithful word; Now He shines, the long expected, Let creation praise its Lord, evermore and evermore!
O ye heights of heaven adore Him; angel hosts, His praises sing; Powers, dominions, bow before Him, and extol our God and King! Let no tongue on earth be silent, Every voice in concert sing, evermore and evermore!

The heavens [are] recounting the honour of God, And the work of His hands The expanse [is] declaring. 2 Day to day utters speech, And night to night shows knowledge. 3 There is no speech, and there are no words. Their voice hath not been heard. 4 Into all the earth hath their line gone forth, And to the end of the world their sayings, For the sun He placed a tent in them, 5 And he, as a bridegroom, goes out from his covering, He rejoices as a mighty one To run the path. 6 From the end of the heavens [is] his going out, And his revolution [is] unto their ends, And nothing is hid from his heat.

John 9:5 - 9 "As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world." When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. And He said to him, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam" (which is translated, Sent).
So he went and washed, and came back seeing. Therefore the neighbors and those who previously had seen that he was blind said, "Is not this he who sat and begged?" Some said, "This is he." Others "He is like him." He said, "I am he."
John 8:13 - 16 The Pharisees therefore said to Him, "You bear witness of Yourself; Your witness is not true."
Jesus answered and said to them, "Even if I bear witness of Myself, My witness is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going; but you do not know where I come from and where I am going. You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one. And yet if I do judge, My judgment is true; for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent Me.
John 4:22 - 26 Jesus said to the Samaritan woman: "You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."
The woman said to Him, "I know that Messiah is coming" (who is called Christ). "When He comes, He will tell us all things."
Jesus said to her, "I who speak to you am He."
Child in the manger, Infant of Mary, Outcast and Stranger, Lord of all, Child Who inherits all our transgressions, All our demerits on Him fall.
Once the most holy Child of salvation Gently and lowly lived below. Now as our glorious mighty Redeemer, See Him victorious oer each foe.
Prophets foretold Him, Infant of wonder; Angels behold Him on His throne. Worthy our Savior of all our praises; Happy forever are His own.
