God, the omnipotent! King Who ordainest Great winds Thy clarions, lightnings Thy sword; Show forth Thy pity on high where Thou reignest, Give to us peace in our time, O Lord.
God the all merciful! Earth hath forsaken Thy ways of blessedness, slighted Thy Word; Bid not Thy wrath in its terrors awaken; Give to us peace in our time, O Lord.
God the all righteous One! Man hath defied Thee; Yet to eternity standeth Thy Word, Falsehood and wrong shall not tarry beside Thee; Give to us peace in our time, O Lord.
God the all wise! By the fire of Thy chastening, Earth shall to freedom and truth be restored; Through the thick darkness Thy kingdom is hastening; Thou wilt give peace in Thy time, O Lord.

(NKJV) Romans 5 1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Romans 8 24 For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees?
25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for... | | ... the big changes He's walking me through, as I keep my eyes on Him and trust Him completely.
O JOYFUL sound of gospel grace! Christ shall in me appear; I, even I, shall see his face, I shall be holy here.
This heart shall be his constant home; I hear his Spirit's cry, "Surely," he saith, "I quickly come," He saith, who cannot lie.
The glorious crown of righteousness To me reached out I view; Conqueror through him, I soon shall seize, And wear it as my due.
The promised land, from Pisgah's top, I now exult to see; My hope is full (O glorious hope!) Of immortality.
He visits now the house of clay, He shakes his future home; O wouldst thou, Lord, on this glad day, Into thy temple come!
With me, I know, I feel, thou art; But this cannot suffice, Unless thou plantest in my heart A constant paradise.
My earth thou waterest from on high, But make it all a pool; Spring up, O well, I ever cry, Spring up within my soul!
Come, O my God, thyself reveal, Fill all this mighty void; Thou only canst my spirit fill: Come, O my God, my God!
Fulfil, fulfil my large desires, Large as infinity; Give, give me all my soul requires, All, all that is in thee!

(NKJV) Isaiah 35 5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. 6 Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert. 7 The parched ground shall become a pool, And the thirsty land springs of water; In the habitation of jackals, where each lay, There shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
Isaiah 55 1 "Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price. 2 Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance. 3 Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you -- The sure mercies of David.
John 1 16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Psalm 24
7 Ye gates, lift up your heads on high; ye doors that last for aye, Be lifted up, that so the King of glory enter may. 8 But who of glory is the King? The mighty Lord is this; Ev'n that same Lord, that great in might and strong in battle is. Ev'n that same Lord, that great in might and strong in battle is.
9 Ye gates, lift up your heads; ye doors, doors that do last for aye, Be lifted up, that so the King of glory enter may. 10 But who is he that is the King, The King of glory? who is this? The Lord of hosts, and none but he, the King of glory is. The Lord of hosts, and none but he, the King of glory is.

Jesu, we follow Thee, In all Thy footsteps tread, And pant for full conformity To our exalted Head.
We would, we would partake, Thy every state below, And suffer all things for Thy sake And to Thy glory do.
We in Thy birth are born, Sustain Thy grief and loss, Share in Thy want, and shame, and scorn, And die upon Thy cross.
Baptised into Thy death, We sink into Thy grave, Till Thou the quickening Spirit breathe, And to the utmost save.
Thou saidst "Where'er I am There shall my servant be," Master, the welcome word we claim, And die to live with Thee.
To us who share Thy pain Thy joy shall soon be given, And we shall in Thy glory reign, For Thou are now in heaven.

For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
(KJV) 1 Peter 2:19 - 25
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for... | | ... peace. And the sweetness of His love. And for slightly more pressure, Lord, I will praise You.
Come, ye disconsolate, where'er ye languish. Come to the mercy seat, fervently kneel. Here bring your wounded hearts, here tell your anguish; earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. Joy of the desolate, light of the straying, hope of the penitent, fadeless and pure! Here speaks the Comforter, tenderly saying, "Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot cure."
Here see the bread of life; waters flowing forth from the throne of God, pure from above. Come to the feast of love; come, ever knowing earth has no sorrow but heaven can remove.

4 So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. 5 And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in. 6 Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, 7 and the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.
8 Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed. 9 For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. 10 Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.
11 But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre, 12 and seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. 13 And they say unto her, 'Woman, why weepest thou?'
She saith unto them, 'Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.'
14 And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus saith unto her, 'Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou?'
She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, 'Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.'
16 Jesus saith unto her, 'Mary'. She turned herself, and saith unto him, 'Rabboni'; which is to say, Master. (KJV) John 20

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for... | | ... more of Himself - and peace and sustenance.
Jesus, my eyes are unto Thee, For Thou art all I long to see Since Thou hast suffered on the tree, That I might live.
Jesus, my heart is fixed on Thee, Waiting for all Thou hast for me, Seeking a closer walk with Thee, Thy paths to see.
Jesus, my soul still pants for Thee, For Thou are all in all to me, And when Thy blessed face I'll see, At rest I'll be.
Jesus, for Thy great love, I yearn, Even for those, God's ways who spurn, That through Thy love from death they'll turn, To Thee and live.
Oh! That my steps may quickened be To follow Him who still loves me, And bids me through eternity, With Him to dwell.
Jesus, of Him shall be my song, Who loved me patiently and long, My life, my all, henceforth belong, To Him alone.

26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, "Take, eat; this is My body."
27 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. 28 For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 29 But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom."
30 And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

| Re: Today, I'm praising God for... | | ... working His death in me, giving me grace and strength, hope and encouragement.... Hallelujah! :-)
Eternal Light! eternal Light! How pure the soul must be When, placed within Thy searching sight, It shrinks not, but with calm delight Can live, and look on Thee!
The spirits that surround Thy throne May bear the burning bliss; But that is surely theirs alone, Since they have never, never known A fallen world like this.
O how shall I, whose native sphere Is dark, whose mind is dim, Before the Ineffable appear, And on my naked spirit bear That uncreated beam?
There is a way for man to rise To that sublime abode: An offering and a sacrifice, A Holy Spirits energies, An Advocate with God.
These, these prepare us for the sight Of holiness above; The sons of ignorance and night, May dwell in the eternal Light, Through the eternal Love.
Tune: Newcastle http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/e/t/etelight.htm
And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: they shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; and as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
Hebrews 1:10 - 14
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.... that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Hebrews 2:9, 14 + 15
...this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
Hebrews 10:12 - 14
...God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
Ephesians 2:4 - 6
... ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, and to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
Hebrews 12:22 - 24
Wherefore ...let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Rise up, O men of God! Have done with lesser things; Give heart and soul and mind and strength To serve the King of kings.
Rise up, O men of God! His Kingdom tarries long; Bring in the day of brotherhood, And end the night of wrong.
Rise up, O men of God! The Church for you doth wait: His strength shall make your spirit strong, Her service make you great.
Lift high the cross of Christ! Tread where his feet have trod; As brothers of the Son of Man Rise up, O men of God.

(KJV) 1 Timothy 6
12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold of eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
13 I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate, 14 that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ's appearing, 15 which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom honor and everlasting power.
Amen.

Holy, holy, holy is the Lord! Sing, O ye people, gladly adore Him; Let the mountains tremble at His word; Let the hills be joyful before Him; Mighty in wisdom, boundless in mercy, Great is Jehovah, King over all.
Refrain
Holy, holy, holy is the Lord! Let the hills be joyful before Him.
Praise Him, praise Him! shout aloud for joy, Watchman of Zion, herald the story; Sin and death His kingdom shall destroy; All the earth shall sing of His glory; Praise Him, ye angels, ye who behold Him, Robed in His splendor, matchless, divine.
Refrain
King eternal, blessèd be His Name! So may His children gladly adore Him; When in Heavn we join the happy strain, When we cast our bright crowns before Him; There in His likeness joyful awaking, There we shall see Him, there we shall sing:

(NKJV) Revelation 4
1 After these things I looked, and behold, a door open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, "Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this."
2 Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne. 3 And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald.
4 Around the throne twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads.
5 And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. 6 Before the throne a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back.
7 The first living creature like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature like a flying eagle. 8 The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within.
And they do not rest day or night, saying: "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!"
9 Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying: 11 "You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created."
Philippians 3:12b
I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.
