Re: Today, I'm praising God for...

... rest in love, palpable peace, simmering joy and another day transformed by the renewing of my mind. Thank you again, Lord, for a truly amazing salvation! :-)

Lead me, Lord, lead me in thy righteousness,
Make thy way plain before my face.

For it is thou, Lord, thou, Lord, only
That makest me dwell in safety.

Romans 14
17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. 18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. 19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Ephesians 4:2 - 7

Hebrews 11

5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

 Re: Today, I'm praising God for...

... for keeping me in peace and for working out details over which I had no other control than to ask Him. Thank you Lord! :-D

Thou God of truth and love,
We seek Thy perfect way,
Ready Thy choice to approve,
Thy providence to obey,
Enter into Thy wise design,
And sweetly lose our will in Thine.

Why has Thou cast our lot
In the same age and place,
Or why together brought
To see each other's face,
To join with softest sympathy,
And mix our friendly souls in Thee?

Didst Thou not make us one
That all might one remain,
Together travel on
And bear each other's pain,
Till all Thine utmost goodness prove
And rise renewed in perfect love?

Surely Thou didst unite
Our kindred spirits here
That all hereafter might
Before The throne appear,
Meet at the marriage of the Lamb,
And all Thy glorious love proclaim.

Then let us ever bear
The blessed end in view,
And join with common care
To fight our passage through,
And kindly help each other on
Till both receive the starry crown.

O might Thy Spirit seal
Our souls unto that day,
With all Thy fulness fill,
And then transport away,
Away to our eternal rest,
Away to our Redeemer's breast.

Scroll down to PASSION. 'My song is love unknown' is 7th (middle of section).

And Abraham said unto his young men,

'Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.'

And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife;
and they went both of them together.

And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said,

'My father'

and he said,

'Here am I, my son'.

And he said,

'Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?'

And Abraham said,

'My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering.'

So they went both of them together.

Praise to the Holiest in the height,
And in the depth be praise, -
In all his words most wonderful,
Most sure in all his ways.

O loving wisdom of our God!
When all was sin and shame,
A second Adam to the fight
And to the rescue came

O wisest love! that flesh and blood,
Which did in Adam fail,
Should strive afresh against the foe,
Should strive and should prevail;

O generous love! that he who smote
In man, for man, the foe,
The double agony in Man,
For man, should undergo,

And in the garden secretly,
And on the cross on high,
Should teach his brethren, and inspire
To suffer and to die.

Praise to the Holiest in the height,
And in the depth be praise, -
In all his words most wonderful,
Most sure in all his ways.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.  Re: Today, I'm praising God for...

... preparing the way for me today, that I might not be pressed beyond what I could manage. He is truly a great and wonderful Lord - of heaven and earth, and of heart and mind, and soul and strength! :-)

One there is, above all others,
Well deserves the name of Friend;
His is love beyond a brother’s,
Costly, free, and knows no end:
They who once His kindness prove,
Find it everlasting love!

Which of all our friends to save us,
Could or would have shed their blood?
But our Jesus died to have us
Reconciled, in Him to God:
This was boundless love indeed!
Jesus is a Friend in need.

When He lived on earth abasèd,
Friend of sinners was His name;
Now, above all glory raisèd,
He rejoices in the same:
Still He calls them brethren, friends,
And to all their wants attends.

Could we bear from one another,
What He daily bears from us?
Yet this glorious Friend and Brother,
Loves us though we treat Him thus:
Though for good we render ill,
He accounts us brethren still.

O for grace our hearts to soften!
Teach us, Lord, at length to love;
We, alas! forget too often,
What a Friend we have above:
But when home our souls are brought,
We will love Thee as we ought.

10:6 "But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

15:24 But He answered and said, "I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

18:10 - 14 "Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven. For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.

What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying? And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray.

Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

...speaking to me and meeting with me; for leading me forward in this life of faith, in a very real way. Thank you Lord.

All hail the power of Jesus' name!
Let angels prostrate fall, let angels prostrate fall;
bring forth the royal diadem, and crown him,
crown him, crown him, crown him, and crown him Lord of all.

Ye chosen seed of Israel's race,
ye ransomed from the fall, ye ransomed from the fall,
hail him who saves you by his grace, and crown him,
crown him, crown him, crown him, and crown him Lord of all.

Sinners, whose love can ne'er forget
the wormwood and the gall, the wormwood and the gall,
go spread your trophies at his feet, and crown him,
crown him, crown him, crown him, and crown him Lord of all.

Let every kindred, every tribe
on this terrestrial ball, on this terrestrial ball,
to him all majesty ascribe, and crown him,
crown him, crown him, crown him, and crown him Lord of all.

Crown him, ye martyrs of your God,
who from his altar call, who from his altar call;
extol the Stem of Jesse's Rod, and crown him,
crown him, crown him, crown him, and crown him Lord of all.

O that with yonder sacred throng
we at his feet may fall, we at his feet may fall!
We'll join the everlasting song, and crown him,
crown him, crown him, crown him, and crown him Lord of all.

(KJV) Acts 3 vv 6 - 11
12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? 13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; 15 and killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all...

26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. 4:1 And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them, 2 being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

Great God of wonders! All Thy ways
Display the attributes divine;
But countless acts of pard'ning grace,
Beyond Thine other wonders shine.

Refrain

Who is a pardoning God like Thee?
Or who has grace so rich and free?

Crimes of such horror to forgive,
Such guilty, daring worms to spare;
This is Thy grand prerogative,
And none shall in the honor share.

Refrain

In wonder lost, with trembling joy,
We take the pardon of our God:
Pardon for crimes of deepest dye,
A pardon bought with Jesus’ blood.

Refrain

O may this strange, this matchless grace,
This Godlike miracle of love,
Fill the whole earth with grateful praise,
And all th’angelic choirs above.

Refrain

Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.

And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.

The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying,

'Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.'

Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.

 Re: Today, I'm praising God for ...

... The Lamb upon the throne - the eternal sacrifice - and for faith to receive Him.

Just as I am, without one plea,
But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bidst me come to Thee,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, and waiting not
To rid my soul of one dark blot,
To Thee whose blood can cleanse each spot,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, though tossed about
With many a conflict, many a doubt,
Fightings and fears within, without,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind;
Sight, riches, healing of the mind,
Yea, all I need in Thee to find,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, Thou wilt receive,
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
Because Thy promise I believe,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, Thy love unknown
Hath broken every barrier down;
Now, to be Thine, yea, Thine alone,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, of that free love
The breadth, length, depth, and height to prove,
Here for a season, then above,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. Matthew 19:10 - 12

Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Acts 15:26

And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. Matthew 19:29 (KJV)

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes as a flame of fire, and on his head many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

And the armies in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

... confirming His word of yesterday, to me clearly, and continuing to work by His Spirit a tangible peace in which I must rest. Amen!

O glorious hope of perfect love!
It lifts me up to things above,
It bears on eagles' wings;
It gives my ravished soul a taste,
And makes me for some moments feast,
And makes me for some moments feast
With Jesu's priests and kings.

Prisoner of hope, to Thee I turn,
And, calmly confident, I mourn,
And pray, and weep for Thee.
Tell me They love, Thy secret tell,
Thy mystic name in me reveal,
Thy mystic name in me reveal,
Reveal Thyself in me.

Rejoicing now in earnest hope
I stand, and from the mountain-top
See all the land below;
Rivers of milk and honey rise,
And all the fruits of paradise,
And all the fruits of paradise
In endless plenty grow;

A land of corn, and wine, and oil,
Favoured with God's peculiar smile,
With every blessing blessed;
There dwells the Lord our Righteousness,
And keeps His own in perfect peace,
And keeps His own in perfect peace
And everlasting rest.

O that I might at once go up,
No more on this side Jordan stop,
Bu now the land possess;
This moment end my legal years,
Sorrows, and sins, and doubts, and fears,
Sorrows, and sins, and doubts, and fears,
A howling wilderness!

Now, O my Joshua bring me in,
Cast out my foes: the inbred sin,
The carnal mind, remove.
The purchase of They death divide;
And O, with all the sanctified,
And O, with all the sanctified
Give me a lot of love.
