"The Holy Ghost may not come back to you. Some of you preachers are preaching a theology and your shouting behind a denomination, and you're scared stiff to preach the revelations God has given you." - Leonard Ravenhill

"When you have given up your life entirely to the Holy Spirit, you have no right to take it back or to resent what He does with it. ... You accept everything from Him, whether it seems to be for you or against you. ... When He comes in, He shows you yourself as He sees you, and He deals with the old nature, its thoughts and motives. Human reasoning and understanding belong to the old nature, which God tells us not to trust (Proverbs 3:5). You must be quiet before God for Him to show you these things." - Rees Howells

The principle of the world is "self-glorification," and the principle of the Christian is "self-crucifixion." The principle of the world is "exalt yourself," and the principle of the Christian is "crucify yourself." - Alan Redpath

 Re:

You will find that as we grow mature in Divine Grace, we love the Psalms more. Many young Believers are most fond of the doctrinal parts of Scripture, and I admire that holy curiosity which leads them to desire to understand all the Revelation of God in the Doctrine of Grace. Practical Christians are often more fond of studying the Evangelists and Proverbs, but I find that the gray-headed veterans, the sorely troubled Christians, those who have done business on great waters—while they love the Doctrines, while they delight in the practices set forth in the life of Christ—yet somehow or other the Psalms of the sweet Singer of Israel yield them savory meat such as their soul loves! And they are made in the Psalms to “lie down in green pastures” of tender grass.

"Would-be preachers ask how many days are needed to prepare a message. The answer is at least ten years, more like twenty." - Watchman Nee

 Re:

“God's problem in the United States and England is not humanism, or Communism or Spiritism. God's problem in America and England is dead fundamentalism! We mouth words about eternity, but live and think as if time will never end. Where, oh, where are the eternity-conscious believers? Where are the souls white-hot for God because they fear His holy name and presence and so live with eternity's values in view? If we had more sleepless nights in prayer, there would be far fewer souls to have a sleepless eternal night in hell.” -Leonard Ravenhill
