I have read both reviews, Matt Walsh is brilliant as always and convinced me to not waste good money on a bad movie. Paul Anderson (writing in Huffington Post) gave a weak review from the sounds of it. Almost as if he was afraid to come out swinging against this mockery of a film, which is easy to understand considering the publication he is writing for.

Going to see this film will not send you to hell or turn you into a sinful Christian but it will lighten your wallet of good money that could be put to much better use.

I personally do not intend to see this movie, however I can see there might be one reason to see it and that is for the sole purpose of bringing up the subject with unbelievers who have also seen the movie with the intention to share the true biblical account and the gospel. You could argue that one could still do this without enduring the torment of watching this drivel...so make sure it us the Lord leading you.

Probably you need to teach this to apostles and even to Jesus Christ himself. I see the apostles and Jesus warning clearly of deception. They did not sit quite trusting in inward anointing of Holy Spirit like how you suggested here.

2 Cor 11:3-But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.

There is nothing wrong in warning people of deception of any form. The apostles had a burden to warn the church of possible deception. There are many spiritual babes who do not have a way to discern good from evil. There is nothing wrong in those who are mature to show what is a possible deception.

My 1.5 year old has the same eyes as I have but I still need to tell her what to touch and what not to touch. It is because she is not yet trained to use her eyes to discern. Same way a babe in Christ may have received the Holy Spirit but not trained to discern.

I've seen it. I went with some other Christian mates.

Run. It is a wicked and blood thirsty film. Sacrifices and animals cut open with guts falling out, women being abused and possibly raped or being killed. It is not acceptable for kids nor adults a like. It is dark too. I saw young kids there. Maybe 4 or 5... Why would you?! I'm 28 and found it hard to watch and I'm used to seeing weird stuff on things like that on Sci-Fi shows like Star Trek or Dr Who; etc.

Not sure of its content I asked God to protect my heart while I saw it.

I didn't expect much from Hollywood but wasn't expecting such vile rubbish. Don't see it, protect yourselves and others.

The only things that I think it did well was show glimpses of how evil we are and the sobering realism of those drowning outside while calling for help.

This is a very good point. We need to ask ourselves what is the motivation for the secular world to produce these films, I believe it is most likely to distort peoples understanding and perspective of the truth of Scriptures and of God. These films actually might be priming a nation towards persecuting and hating us.

Ken Ham and Bro Greg are warning us for our protection.

Our God is faithful to young believers. I don't think telling people what too see ever works. I find telling young believers about The glory of Jesus Christ is all they need. I consider this concept too idealistic.

If it were true one would not have the Apostle Paul's writings to correct issues that bedeviled the Corinthian church. Or, any of the other writings of the apostles. Read Acts - they had issues to deal with. They confronted, were blunt, to the point and fixed it.

Fine example, I say. And moderns are not any holier then they.
