Just checked the weather forecast for Isaac...

Looks like it it will pass right over us and miss Tampa with a direct hit. Mississippi is smack dab in the middle of its projected path. Looks as though it would be headed for Arkansas and Missouri. Yes!

If it comes our way, we will move things inside that could go a-flying - especially if you 50+MPH winds. And we will stay inside and watch it rain. Might be a good time to take a nap! :-)

I have been following along with Isaac for the last week via a weather blogger, this young man named Levi who does these daily updates on the weather has been really interesting. He posts all the radar maps and explains all the reasons why the storms move and do what they do.

I will be praying for you and your family. It got me thinking, when Irene came through our area last year it was at this time and you gave me the best advice back then. I don't remember if I thanked you or not, but thanks :) I just wanted to say that your post here was encouraging to me because you keep such a calm head and there is no fear or panic. Your faith has given me much encouragement over the years, just wanted to say thanks :)

The name Isaac means, from 6711 "laughter(i.e. Mockery)"

I would also add that out of chastisements and judgments of God often come blessings.

To clarify some misrepresented assumptions:
1.) I never said this hurricane was an act of God's judgement specifically (nor did Bearmaster, by the way, he just asked a question - I understand leading questions, I was pre-law many ages ago, but this isn't a court of law. We can pose questions we may be wondering about without it being labeled pre-judgingly as "idle words"). I said Katrina was. The Lord made that clear to me. If not to you, that's OK. Take it or leave it as you choose.
2.) I never have/never will implied or stated we should be afraid or fear if/when God does send judgement. To be absent from the Body is to be present with the Lord. Either way, we win. Many aren't mentally or spiritually prepared for this reality, thus the reason for the discussion before the greater "Body" at large.
3.) I never got "offended" at the questioning of anything I said. I'm not offended at all brother. I'm just speaking to the prevalent attitude/spirit that seems to be greater at large in the body these days. True there are many false prophets, many self-proclaimed prophets, and many who are presumptuous. Just as true is the fact that there are even more "prophet police", self-appointed "prophetic Refuters", and those who actually are eager to "kill/stone the prophes/prophetic insight" and reject everything automatically that isn't a direct quote from scripture.
4.) just as strange as you think it is that people "rush to consider America under judgement", I think it's very strange to not see that a country who has aborted 50 Million+ innocent babies LEGALLY, has almost single handedly started the world economic disaster, that is under the most severe drought since the 30's (right after the "roaring 20's where sin started to be celebrated in US), has birthed and flourished the porn industry and shoots the smut around the world, has birthed and flourished an underground child porn industry, has child molesters and abuses by the millions, has spawned the greatest homosexual movement in history with even lesbians and transgender identities becoming normal, has birthed a new movement in the hearts of "independent women" where even they leave their families and forsake their own children for lusts and even prostitution when they never had to leave, where children are so unimportant that daily some woman "forgets" her baby in a car and it dies while she is shopping at the mall and vainly getting her hair and nails done, who has rejected the very name of God in any public entity/venue though our foundings didn't, has spent all of our money and is debt to the double digit trillions to our enemies and don't see it ending badly, and most of all who has had such great spiritual blessings within her land and now has thousands of wolf infested "ministries" that water down, pervert, pollute, and make a mockery of the Gospel, who covet the money of undiscerning widows and the like and build multimillion dollar buildings and fill them up with people who "love to have it so" so their ears get tickled real good every week as they continue on in sin apart from God.
Not onl ythat, but we have garbage like TBN where we make a lucrative business out of mocking the Lord and His Gospel, and pollute the entire world with it, but shooting it around the world by satellite. 3rd world countries are following in our path we blaze for them in Apostacy. I know this to be true.
5.) The Lord has spoken to me about this coming judgement, and given me many dreams concerning it, and confirmed it many many times. But, I'm not the only one, but one among many thousands. I know MANY other believers in the Body with & without strong prophetic giftings who halve had the same experiences independent of mine. Friends in fellowship having dreams of subs surrounding the US. Believers little children having a dream and coming to explain what they saw. Having never watched TV, explaining a nuclear bomb mushroom cloud and fallout. Of course, then there is the testimony and prophetic vision of men like David Wilkerson, Art Katz, Leonard Ravenhill, etc., etc., etc. They all the same thing also. Kay Arthur at a women's conference breaking down in prayer and prophetically crying out that a great famine was coming to the US & to prepare spiritually now so not to be caught off guard. On and on and on. But, unless I can quote a verse that literally says, "America will be judged severely before all the world in 2012-2013" you'll refute it all as idle words. Maybe thats a stretch on my part (don't correct me, you don't have to, I admit that's a slight stretch to what you said exactly). But you get my point.
If the Lord is sending people to wake up the church and get her attention, and you are constantly throwing water over everything they say (even just things they suggest may be worthy of consideration), do you think you could actually be working against the trumpets God has ordained to sound he alarm? I'm not saying that words are not to be judged and considered just drank down like Kool-Aid, but you seem set on watering every one down and consciously or unintentionally reigning doubt on every single one spoken. Just how I discern it brother. I am not assaulting your character and can see your love for God, His Word, and His people. But I'll bet you have a teaching/pastoral type gifting, and should not let that lead you to nullify every "prophetic" gift/comment/insight/question for evaluation because it's different than your gift which is different. Just a hunch.
6.) Being the commander in chief and president of the United States of America is one of the most powerful and influential positions in the world. To compare that with a local teller at Krogers (or even the store manager) is.........well, not fair, not parallel, not even worthy of comparison, and if you really believe that way, I mean this in a non-assaulting and lovingly truthful way - naive. The man who can pull he trigger on nukes to start WW3 compared to the man who scans your milk and at best can price match your paper ads - I love you Chris, but that's ridiculous! :-) I have a good sense of humor, so don't take me as offensive, I'm giggling at that a little, but have you really stopped writing and prayed about that? Manager of wal-mart and leader of the "free world" (as they say, though we are in more bondage than we know).

Mary, Genesis 50:20 "You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.". Seems like most just focus on the bad they "assume" God is sending. Isn't it strange, some can't see the good in some things? but then again when you have a country that focuses on Drama and Hate this is usually the result. By the way Mary, God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, he still pours out his Blessings, even if some want to turn the Blessings into his wrath. The God I serve is a good God, I did read somewhere this statement "For God so Loved the world". O well some see the glass half full, some see it half empty, some see wrath, some see Love and Blessings, guess it's all about the lifestyle a person lives. You live with anger and hate or even jealously, your mind will follow accordingly, you live with love,hope and trust, your mind will think good thoughts. I have always heard, "hurting people hurt people".

I have not seen the latest weather track. But if Isaac does bring drought busting rain then Amen. I live in the draught area and we do need the rain.

However for those who want Mit Romney. Be careful what you ask for. Israel rejected God for a king. And look at the grief she endured afterward. The Jewish leadership rejected Christ. They told Pilot we have no king but caesar. 40 years later caesar repaid the Jews by destroying Jerusalem in 70 AD.

I have no doubt that Mit Romney will be the next President of the United States. Many evangelicals will rejoice. Oh we have taken the White House. This is our man. Oh don't confuse me he is a Mormon. A Satanist. You are making a groundless accusation. He is a moral man. He is a conservative. He is even a God fearing man.

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising then, If his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

You will get Mit Romney. But be prepared for the price you will pay for his Presidency.

Whether the glass is half full or half empty I do not know...But I do know that "He doeth ALL THINGS WELL." Maybe, just maybe, judgment IS mercy, if that is the only way people will be turned to Christ.

Here is my glass half full theory.Perhaps it means God is testing the GOP and helping prove its mettle in the face of physical adversity. Whereas democrat-ruled New Orleans absolutely collapsed and failed in every way to follow even their own plans for evacuation and recovery, before this entire great nation became the very symbol of imbecilic helplessness, the GOP shall overcome and carry on to victory despite any hurricane.

Edited: After sharing with my husband what I had posted I felt I should remove what I had here. I don't want to further debates and my original post might have led to that.

I just want to say that I think our time can best be served in praying for both Mitt Romney and President Obama. Both men need JESUS as each of us does.

I am going to leave this thread now :)
