 Re:

Hey brother Krispy thanks for replying!

Have you received the baptism of the Holy Ghost since you believed like they did on the day of Pentecost?

 Re:

I received the Holy Ghost, yes... on the very day I was born again. Just like you did. :-)

You can not be born again without being sealed with the Spirit, it's impossible.

What are you asking me exactly?

 Re:

You have studied the bible Krispy and it is obvious that being immersed or filled with the Holy Spirit is distinct from being born of the Spirit.

I repeat have you been immersed or filled with the Holy Spirit like they received it in Acts 2.4?

 Re:

No, thats not really as obvious as you think. There is a school of thought that the reason God operated that way (giving the Holy Spirit after they were saved) was to make it obvious to the Apostles that gentiles were truly being saved.

Do I believe that God takes us to a new level subsequent to salvation? I think He takes us to new levels all the time.

But what you really want to ask me is if I have spoken in tongues.

To be totally honest I am grieved by how christian folk can bludgeon one another just to prove a point. I do not see how you can even go into a prayer closet and have answered prayer... Brothers put this to bed. You have hijacked yet another thread... ya'll act like children. Seriously it is annoying I'm sure to more than just me.

This is the problem other men "thinking" taking them away from clearly what is written. Pride always gets in the way.

I have heard men preach and say how much they believe the bible and the words of the apostles but don't want to experience what the apostles experienced.

Actually... it looks like we might be making some headway here finally. We finally got people to stop making judgements about each other...

I don't know if it is a good thing or not but alot of the conversation here reminds me of my construction days working on a job site and trying to outdo eachother with witty comments. I have been laughing a little.
If it wasn't so serious a topic (the unity of the body)it would be funny. Let us all pursue truth with humility, and fear and trembling before a Holy God.
In Christ,

I for one will take all He decides to give me, but we must also keep in mind that it's up to HIM... Clearly Paul taught that HE gives the gifts according to HIS plan.

It's gets into that sticky topic of God's sovereignty that people hate so much.
