| Does anyone know of any good pentecostal theologians? | | I know of myer pearlman, p. c. nelson, and donald gee. All of whom were of the Assemblies of God from the first half of the previous century.
Any others would be extremely helpful _________________ Jerry Austin

| Re: Does anyone know of any good pentecostal theologians? | | When I was going through the curriculum to get my certificate of ministry with A/G, I remember William Menzies and Stanley M. Horton Th.D. to be the big names in Pentecostal doctrine at the time.
Ralph M. Riggs seems to be the authority today in the study of Pentecostal Christology, and Frank M. Boyd has done comprehensive overviews of both the Old and New Testaments through a Pentecostal perspective.

| Re: | | Gordon Fee is the most celebrated Pentecostal theologian, but it should be noted, he is not exactly a classical Pentecostal in his theology. I would personally say he leans more "third-wave" in his doctrine of the baptism of the Holy Spirit, even though he is credentialed by the Assemblies of God. By far though, he has written the greatest commentary on 1 Corinthians to date. He also has great works on the doctrine of the Holy Spirit, and Christology. His labors will last many generations should the Lord tarry. He is a great exegete of the Scriptures. He really knows how to squeeze the juice out of a passage. _________________ Jimmy H

Greg, does this commentary do a good job of relating as much as is possible to the historical context of the book? I would love to have a good commentary on Jeremiah that did that. _________________ Jeremiah Dusenberry
