Hello saints,
Please pray for a father of 8 children and leader in our church, Mick Freeborn. Last Tuesday while he was working in Alaska he had a ruptured aneurysm of the aorta artery. He came very, very close to dying and is now in very critical but stable condition. His wife, 17 year old son and 11 month old son flew up there from Missouri to be with him in Anchorage. He has been sedated and on oxygen since coming out of major surgery.
The doctor does give hope that he will pull through this since he is young (47), but it is a very serious situation.
Please cry out to God to bring healing to his lungs and body. And pray for grace and strength for the family during this time. Kendra (his wife) has had many opportunities to minister to the people around her. Pray for the Lord to strengthen her and fill her afresh with the Holy Spirit. And pray for the other children still here in Missouri.
Thank you, saints. This family is one of the godliest and saintliest families I have ever met. We're so grateful to have them as a part of our church and would be very grateful if you would also pray for them during this time of great trial.

Here is something the children wrote a few days ago:
Dear Friends, Today is our daddy's 47th birthday. "We will be glad and rejoice in thee. We will not open the gates of the year to the dolorous notes of the sackbut, but to the sweet strains of the harp of joy, and the high sounding cymbals of gladness. 'O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise unto the rock of our salvation.' We, the called and faithful and chosen, we will drive away our griefs, and set up our banners of confidence in the name of God. Let others lament over their troubles, we who have the sweetening tree to cast into Marahs bitter pool, with joy will magnify the Lord." C. H. Spurgeon Today we, the Freeborn children, do rejoice. We rejoice because we are the sons and daughters of the Sovereign God of the universe Who ordains every human event for His glory and our good. We rejoice in Him because, "He doeth all things well." We rejoice in Him because He has given us salvation through the blood of His Son the Lord Jesus Christ. Our Heavenly Father has given us so much more than we deserve and we bow before Him in gratitude and plead that His free grace and mercy may continue to descend upon us. We rejoice too because we are the children of a good man. Our daddy is a manly man, a man of gentle strength and quiet leadership. He has a good name which is better than great riches. He has led a life that is above reproach in the workplace, at home, and in the Church. He loves the body of Christ and bleeds for it. He loves his family and has laid down his own life to protect, lead, and provide for us. He has been a shining example of integrity and diligence in the workplace. His coworkers love, honor and esteem him. Our daddy is an uncommon man and we, the Freeborn children, are honored to call him father. On this, the 47th anniversary of his birth, we rise up with one heart and voice and thank God for the privilege of being nurtured and raised by a truly great man. We also rejoice in the beautiful body of Christ and their tender care of us. Thank you for weeping with us as we weep, for lifting us up before the throne of grace, for encouraging us with your wise and loving words. If our daddy was able he would be proud to take the right hand of fellowship with such a noble band of brothers. Our daddy continues in stable but critical condition. The doctor says that progress will be slow. Please continue to pray for him and for us. It is very difficult for our family to be separated at this time. Thank you all for your support. May you have a blessed and happy New Year. We love you. Rejoicing in our great God and Sovereign, The Freeborn Children |
