 Re:

Greetings Ginnyrose

I really appreciate what you shared here:Sin is everywhere and one shouldn't dilute the message of the gospel in deference to the racial mix of the audience. To do so would make you the racist of the worst sort.
___

I have a family member who believes that because of the difficult circumstances of her youth that God will offer some kind of special understand to the sin that she is now living in. She has actually said to me that God will just have to understand and goes on her merry way with her rebellious sinful living. I wonder how many people have been lost because we seem to always want to offer one group or other excuses for their sins instead of being honest and demonstrate love to them by sharing the truth with out conditions.

As for the topic of the thread.I do think that it is not appropriate for children to be singing songs of praise to the sitting president, in fact I believe that singing songs of praise should be reserved for the Lord Jesus alone. I do not believe that it is racists for Christians to take issue with many of the ideas, and governing positions that Mr. Obama stands for. I did not agree with all that was done by Mr. Bush either. I pray for both men to see their need for Jesus equally.

God Bless
mj

Edit: I corrected my post to reflect what I meant and that is that I do not agree with children singing praise songs to the president

 Att.: Neil

This morning I had the sense that I need to come back and apologize...

My reply to Neil was made in defense.

What I should have instead said "So, what did I do that causes you to think this of me?" And this I am asking now.

And I apologize for taking the offense I did and I ask your forgiveness...and I hope I will be more careful in the future in how I reply.

God bless all of you...and I now all want what is the best for all...

Dear Sister Ginnyrose, forgive my delay, I didnt see your post until now. (I'm posting an Israeli video on Hamas) you wrote:

my sister, no where in my post did or WOULD I ever say that anyone on this forum was or is racist, not you or sister White Stone, and IF I did feel that anyone harbored such tendencies I would take it to a PM. Never would hurl such accusations publicly against any one poster, who I assume is a brother or sister in Messiah, because anyone on this website is here because their heart is canted to Jesus, thirsting for revival.

So I do "forgive" you, though you didnt do anything of offense to me, you just voiced your opinion, as did others. Some said "get over it", and quite frankly when I see, those three words, I usually know I'm correct in my assessment. When everyone disagrees with me, I usually know I'm on to something.

The fact is, there are many many people in this nation who cannot get over the fact that an African-American sits in the Oval Office. I see this as one of the last "skirmishes" of the Civil War. It doesnt matter WHAT this President does, there is a segment of the population that will always loathe him, it was the same way with the far left and President Bush 43. (I had to "live" with some of those folks, circa 2006-2009, and God spoke with me, and I vowed I wouldnt speak out against President Bush ever again.)

President Obama is not a muslim. Doesn't everyone see now WHY he sought dialogue with the Iranians? The Iranians took this request of our President and they spit in his open hand, they're fools, because NOW we have the goods on them and their desire for nuclear weaponry. So when the time comes to attack this foul brood, the world will see that our President and our Nation took the time and care to SEE if we could reason with the islamic republic of iran, but they were unreasonable.....and the President is NOT anti-military, look at who from the Bush 43 administration stayed on......Secty of Defense Gates, and WHO is the Presidents National Security Advisor, Marine General James Jones......a Marine General! You think any Marine General is some limp spaghetti left wing wimp? (lol)

and the President is NOT a "socialist", every single market, stock, commodity, debt, currency, trades unabated, no segment of our private industry has been "nationalized", and if anyone brings up "bailouts", those started with the Bush administration intent on trying to prevent a total financial meltdown.

I'm just bringing up a few things, I realize they are folks here who do not like the President because in their minds he represents a political party that has no problem with either abortion on demand or same sex marriage. I understand that. Having said that, I dont really feel the Republican party is that serious about ending abortion on demand either, the only folks I feel are serious on this issue are those who read the Bible everyday and believe in the Word as the LIVING Word of God.

I want to say more, but I must tend to business. Thank you for your gracefullness, I took no offense on anyone's posting, although I feel some took offense at mine, though I meant none, just giving voice to what I feel is true.

in Jesus' love, neil

Re: A Deer in headlights moment - School kids taught to praise Obama

"I thought it was bad enough when he compared himself with Lincoln and JFK - - -"

This is my problem. This video does not implicate Barack Obama in anything, yet the implication here is that he was behind the video. Barack Obama did not compare himself to Jesus in this video. Yet when the link to the video that does not implicate Obama's role in this at all is backed up by a comment like 'I thought it was bad enough that HE COMPARED HIMSELF TO LINCOLN AND JFK' I have to pause as to why this comment is made as Obama himself wasn't comparing himself to anyone in the video.... the teacher did this and seemingly acted on her own. The fact that Obama compared himself to Lincoln or JFK has nothing to do with this video, and this is not uncommon in politics.... Dan Quale compared himself to JFK as well. So what is the relevance of the comment???

I have no problem with the video being presented on the forum. This kind of propaganda is unacceptable and should be dealt with harshly. Whether or not this happens is a guessing game. I'm not a big fan of this administration as they lack the governmental transparancy they promised. But let's be fair as well. There is also a danger in exposing a snippet of propaganda by a teacher and generalizing this as some kind of White House sponsored movement. As scary as this is, I have to put it in some perspective. What gets me more than anything is how people put a messianic label on secular leadership. People have a right to be concerned about this but our battle is not with flesh and blood.

 Re:

Greetings Neil

I think that I come away from this seeing a fanaticism in some people for this president that is in some ways scary. Not scary in a worldly sense, but more so for these peoples very salvation. As Christians we are to put "No" man on a pedestal. Jesus alone is our salvation not any person in the government of either party. I hope on that we can say AMEN:-) I think for me this is troubling because young impressionable children are being taught to lift up this man(in this case president obama) and yet they are not allowed to ever mention the name of Jesus in that same class room. This is what is truly sad for me in all of this. I think that in all of this we should be praying for those in government potions of both parties, many profess to love the Lord and to walk with Him, but by their fruit we can clearly see that they do not.

I really think this is what I find so troubling. I even know Christians who profess to love the Lord and yet they believe this man can do nothing wrong. To me this is as dangerous place to be spiritually speaking as those that think that all he does is wrong. Pray for Obama as the man God has placed in power, pray for him to see his great need of Jesus but put your faith, trust, and hope in Christ Jesus alone. Just my thoughts on this:-)

God Bless
