"My mind being now more open and enlarged I began to read the Holy Scriptures upon my knees, laying aside all other books and praying over,if possible, every line and word. This proved meat indeed & drink indeed to my soul.I daily received fresh life, light & power from above. I got more true knowledge from reading the Book of God in one month than I could ever have acquired from all the writings of men." - George Whitefield

In few countries is the failure of Christian humanism more apparent than in Thailand. There, after 150 years of missionaries showing marvelous social compassion, Christians still make up only two percent of the entire population. Self-sacrificing missionaries probably have done more to modernize the country than any other single force. Thailand owes to missionaries its widespread literacy, first printing press, first university, first hospital, first doctor, and almost every other benefit of education and science. In every area, including trade and diplomacy, Christian missionaries put the needs of the host nation first and helped usher in the 20th century. Meanwhile, millions have slipped into eternity without the Lord. They died more educated, better governed, and healthierbut they died without Christ and are bound for Hell.- K.P. Yohannan
"The Church Jesus called out of this world to be separated unto Himself has, to a great extent, forgotten her reason for existence. Her loss of balance is seen in the current absence of holiness, spiritual reality and concern for the lost. Substituted for the life she once knew are teaching and reaching for prosperity, pleasure, politics and social involvement. - K.P. Yohannan
"Whoever you are and whatever you have to glory in - even if you seem to be the saintliest person on earth - know that there is no salvation from the flood of death but Christ. Hanging on to the outside of the ark by a false profession of faith will not save. Imagine how those in Noah's day ran for their lives, some to this hill and others to that high tree; but the waves pursued them until at last they were swept into the devouring flood. Such will your end be if you turn to any other way for help than Christ. Yet the ark waits for you, comes up close to your gate to take you in. Noah did not put forth his hand more willingly to take in the dove, than Christ does to receive those who fly to Him for refuge." - William Gurnall
