 Re: Slice of Laodicea

Personally I wonder much about Slice of Laodicea, I believe Ingrid loves the Lord and her intentions mean well, but from my experience she can be pretty mean in her posts and one interview I heard her and Paul Washer. I think she can represent a Pharisaical attitude in her articles...a holier than though attitude. Know one can validate this letter, I mean its on the internet!!

Hold your horses! i wasn't calling you a liar. i just asked if you would validate the letter. Jeez. Chill out.

I didnt think you were calling ME a liar... I didnt post the letter. But you were clearly insuating it about someone else, and I felt that even tho something like that should be validated, your response and demands seemed to be a bit over the top.

Please tell me if I'm wrong, but didn't Moody speak in a Mormon "church"?

Re: RAY COMFORT TO SPEAK WITH WORD OF FAITH HERETICS, AGAIN

In reading the postings about Ray Comfort's attending these "conferences" (properity-based faith proponants)an important question must be asked.

When does our participation give credence or validity to the heresy such movements use to deceive the many?

I can't imagine Jesus or the Apostle Paul being invited back time and time again to "participate" in that which is heresy!

In fact the "magical stones" of the heretics weren't rubbed for promises of prosperity -- they were thrown at those who spoke the truth and pointed out those who taught such heresy!

It isnt a matter of Ray (Comfort) simply standing in open air and speaking the gospel .. he is "part of", "accepted by", "participating in" - the heretical practices of those who he should be justly pointing at as heretics through, "rightly dividing the word of truth"!

If one who claims to be a christian is so accepted by "the world", (even more, those heretical teachers) -- something is wrong!!!

 Re:

About Slice of Laodicea ...

Let's not interpret "meanness" w/ "speaking truth". There is nothing wrong with healthy debate.

I would guess that Ingrid wouldn't say anything if she didnt - care. Sometimes "truth telling" isn't well accepted. But that shouldn't stop us from continually pointing out that which is unbiblical - whether it offends or not.

I admit, that at times the critique of non-truth isnt done with the grace and compassion we should all have - when pointing out biblical truths to those who dont want to hear it.

I will readily admit that I fail in the gracious delivery department at times. Often, it makes me sick and angry that folks (like those Ingrid points out) distort the truth, and bring disgrace to what Christ did for us on the cross.

Sometimes one feels like "flipping the money tables" in righteous anger .... not out of hate, but out of love for the God who gave His son to die for sinners like me, (and you!) ..... ;-)

2Co 11:12 But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.
2Co 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

Ac 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
Ac 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
Ac 20:30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
Ac 20:31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

1Co 5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

Paul stated specifically not to keep company nor eat with anyone called a brother if he be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner.

In the writings and understanding of the apostle Paul how would he deal with this situation at hand?

I could be wrong but I really don’t think he would be having his picture taken neither would he be keeping company with any knowingly false teachers.

 Re:

Did you read Ray's response to all of this? I thought it was well thought out and made a lot of sense. He's not going with the intention of being in unity, but fully realizing that they ARE in error... and praying that his message there penetrates hearts and lives.

I dont know, but I think you're judging a man without knowing the facts. That is a sin too, ya know.

 Re:

Ray Comfort and John MacArthur are both heretics who teach damnable heresy concerning salvation! If you always believed that you must “make a life commitment to Christ” and “to stop sinning” as a prerequisite to come to Christ, you have believed a works gospel in disguise!

2 threads that expose and refute Lordship salvation, I recommend ALL read this!:
