Re: How to get free of pastors grip

I would like to recommend Don Francisco's music to you. It's free to download and will help to lift you up to God in a non-sentimental way.

You need to keep walking away from this situation, one foot in front of the other, one step at a time, leaving it behind, focusing on God your Father through the Spirit which makes Christ alive in you. Look away from yourself.

Read the New Testament again with the idea of getting to know more about Jesus, and what the apostles had to say about Him and His teachings, and how they referred to the Old Testament all the time.

Do a study on the prophecies which foretold Him, and learn how to direct others to the word of God in a meaningful way - because by then you will know what they need to know and do.

Feast on the Bread that was broken for you, and allow Him to make you strong - to raise you up out of this situation into something completely new.

Want to be encouraged every time you hear a sermon? Log into the Times Square Church website at www.tscnyc.org and follow the Sermons link at the foot of the page. Put Carter Conlon as your chosen speaker, and then pick about six sermons whose titles spark some sort of trigger in you. Listen to them and then see how the world feels.

Let me recommend: 'When Death Hears the Voice of God' (2003, I think).

Now, in case you think that was a bumptious post I've just written you.. please don't forget I've already posted that healing is your top priority. With healing will also come the need for appropriate repentance as God shows you what is your part in your miseries. But, you won't get that far unless you look to the Lord all the time and make a practice of living in His presence.

 Re: You that have prayed

Hi Ole,

Quote:
to you who have prayed, how do you discern my situation, what has God made you to pray about in what manner? has God told you anything?

Ole, What I've been praying about is this...that you would KNOW the Truth and the truth will set you free.

Regardless of your situation....one doesn't have to know the intimate details to know this truth applies no matter what the situation is.

Quote:
the last two days I have been wornout, dont know if it is because there is a struggle, but that is what I have been thinking about if it could be that.

Is that because you are not RESTING in the Lord?

He said *****I****** WILL GIVE YOU REST.

We oftentimes have struggles, stating we have given them to the Lord...and then pick them back up again worrying or the such about it.

Ole, Faith is simply this, Believing what God said about Himself is TRUE. Believing what He said in His word is True. There is no higher honor or Praise then this. This is the Faith that God Honors!

If you are looking instead to see your enemies fall, I will say...as long as you are looking there it will never happen. When and if it should, it may be many many years from now...and if or when you see...you will only see it from far off. Or it may never happen in your and my lifetime. YOU need to move on with Your time here on earth. It's so very short and precious! Use it wisely.

Often times too OLE, the Lord allows us to stay in our circumstances until He has accomplished in US what He wants to accomplish.

Many believe Prayer changes things. But this is what I have learned....prayer changes ME.

I remember being so young in the Lord and praying for this or that...and no answer. You know there are only three answers...Yes, No, and WAIT.

As I began to change and grow in the Lord, some of the things I was praying for, I no longer wanted...and have thanked the Lord over and over He didn't give them to me.....Now is see how foolish and self centered they were. That is normal part of growing...and we are ALWAYS growing. No one has arrived yet...and none are perfect. We know this. God is Perfect...and His LOVE for you is a perfect Love.

Perfect LOVE cast out fear. My prayer for you is that the Lord will perfect you in HIS LOVE.

Ole, have you ever just given your whole life to the Lord.....?

Love in Christ

 Re:

Hi Katy

I am not waiting for Gods judgement on my enemies, often I have said that they are not my problem, then God says that they are, that I need to pray for them.

I have moved on, I dont look back with comtempt on them, I try go go forward, and then I hit a wall.

Yes, I have given my life to God many times, surrendered that is.

God bless

Ole, this is good! And yes, we do need to pray for our enemies.

Matthew 5:44
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Maybe you are going in the wrong direction?????

You mentioned something early on about your coat of many colors.

You know, I believe when we get saved, we do have those moments of little glimpses the Lord allows us to see. Somewhere in that verse you believe the Lord spoke something to you that you feel you lost or has been taken away.

Those things we too need to give back to the Lord, laying it at His feet. Because He is the one who will bring to pass ...not us. So those things need to be surrendered too. More then not, those things, as we grow in God's Grace are completely different then what we thought they were. I don't know where you came by this idea. Did someone pray this over you?

Interesting thing about those things too,((someone else's words over you)) not all that is to be believed either. I've seen such Words misused and cause havoc in peoples lives...focusing on the WORD of this or that, rather then on Jesus Christ.

Added: Ole, when Joseph had his dream...Joseph did not know or understand what it meant...until AFTER it came to pass. It wasn't until his family came into Egypt during the famine that when they saw and fully realized who Joseph was, that they bowed......in shame for what they had done to him.

Ole, this is also prophetic for Israel, who rejected Jesus Christ..their own, and one day, they will look upon Him who they have pierced, they will mourn and bow in shame.

((So for one to have such a prophetic dream if that is what you have had....it may only be the Lord wants to say through that, that there may be many things you will have to suffer for Him.))

Just an Idea....to show something deeper here.

I'm just pulling ideas out here, and not all will apply to you, but only you know that for sure.

Quote:
Yes, I have given my life to God many times, surrendered that is.

I am so delighted to hear this. So now, believe this.....He is able to KEEP all you have committed unto Him. You committed your life...correct.....now you are HIS, and it is GOD who works in you to will AND to do of His good pleasure. But we don't do it in our own strength...but HIS. Maybe that is why **you** are so exhausted????

Also Ole, are you eating and sleeping?

 Re:

Ole,

Coat of Many Colors

“Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age. Also he made him a tunic of many colors. But when his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated him and could not speak peaceably to him. Now Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it to his brothers; and they hated him even more.” (Genesis 37:3-5).

This scripture indicates that Israel (Jacob), expressed his great love for his favorite son Joseph by making him a ‘coat of many colors’. This unique gift was made by a Father who clearly chose the design, the colors and the time to present it to the son. Presented at the time Joseph was only a teenager this definitely made a ‘statement’ to his older brothers.

A Coat For Royalty
The Hebrew translation for coat of many colors is ‘kethoneth passim’. Kethoneth’ means a tunic or coat. ‘Passim’ can be translated as colorful, fine woollen, embroidered, with pictures or striped. It can also mean that the garment was full-length and long sleeved. ‘Kethoneth passim’ was a royal garment which was meant to symbolize Joseph’s stature. Israel’s (Jacob’s) intent was that Joseph should take Reuben’s place as the leader of his brothers and receive the double blessing of the first-born.

Psalm 45 is often depicted as a song of love from the Messiah. The Bride of Christ is depicted as one as royalty dressed in glorious raiments.

“The royal daughter is all glorious within the palace; Her clothing is woven with gold. She shall be brought to the King in robes of many colors” (Psalm 45: 13- 14).

Designed for Diversity
Joseph’s ‘coat of many colors’ indicates a diversity of many things over many facets which is an anointing of multiplication. It is not coincidental that Joseph received this coat after showing obedience to his father, nor that he received prophetic dreams which had implications for the nations.

Today there are people like Joseph who have been received an anointing of increase and have been prepared to preserve life. These are the faithful ones who have learned obedience through the things they have suffered. Like Joseph, they will be used by God in this generation to transfer great storehouses of power and wealth.

I found this article ( not mine, I didn't write it) , but I would change the last sentence here Of ***transfering power and wealth ??** to something not so earthly but more spiritual. To just be a Testamony of God's Power and wealth to those who are in Christ..the Riches that are in Christ Jesus!

 Re:

Thie picture of a coat of many colors was my own words, I too had a dream of that God would do great things in my birth town, I was almost manipulated into promising that I would go back to the church if God would not do anything, I have been ahead of thing in places, I beiieve that the time has not yet been right to do the things I should do, but it all could be a preparation of me to greater things.

Good Morning Ole,

Do you mean someone else tried to manipulate you to go back and do something because God wasn't doing anything? I'm not sure if I understood exactly what you are saying...sorry if that is not what you meant.

Do you still live in this town you were born in?

Not that it matters, but is it a large town?, small?

Ole, have you read all of the life of Joseph? There might be something in that scripture the Lord wants to show you...besides the coat of many colors....but used that in a way to get your attention to something deeper.

I am so inspired by the life of Joseph. I also see a pattern in Joseph's life that rings true for all of us who belong to the Lord.

One thing is how God works, in His timing. Some examples would be Moses, David, Paul just to name a few.

God had a call on Moses life...yet he had to spend 40 years tending sheep before the Lord could use him.

The Lord had a call on David's life, yet look what he went through for so many years( don't know how many, but he was just a child when first called) went through tough times....before the Lord could effectively use him.

And Paul, also had a mighty call on his life, and after he was saved...spent 14 years alone on the back side of a mountain learning from the Lord, His WORD, before the Lord could effectively use him.

There are too many today who crash and burn! Why, because they run ahead of the Lord, trying to do all these things, end up losing their testimony, because they themselves were not prepared by God first.

It's in those times of waiting on the Lord we develop our root system. Think of a newly planted tree. What happens in the life of a tree?

1. First a seed is planted. But have you studied the process of a seed. Do you know the outer chaff of that seed needs to die off before that inner seed breaks out and begins to grow? They say in the rockies and around that forest fires are actually good, because the intense heat from the fire brings new growth that could never happen with out it.

2. Trees not only need sunshine, but rain, and lightening.....and it's those bolts of lightening that put the nourishment in the soil. Yet lightening without rain may not do much in and of itself.

Ephesians 5:26
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

3. Pruning...ouch! but necessary to give the roots time to dig deep. Shallow roots and heavy branches blow over in a storm.

4. Fruit trees may not bear fruit in the first year, but those who do, God will prune again to bring forth MORE Fruit.

We can't bear fruit apart from the Lord. He's the "Good Ground"...not us.... So in reality we are a branch:

John 15
1I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

2Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

3Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

4Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

5I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

6If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

7If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

8Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

Herein Is my Father Glorified!!!! Amazing words we overlook. This is what brings Glory to God.

The Lord wants to establish you in HIS WORD, because all this is completely centered around His Word.

Well, Maybe sometime Ole you can share your testimony with us. When did you hear the Gospel, how did you hear the Gospel?

Love in Christ

I have been mentally ill for 7 years now, after rebuking, kindly though the pastor, saying that they did something that might destroy people,he started taking a hard grip on me, so I had to leave.

since then they prayed against me, they believe they are in their right to do it, that is scarry, they are not servants at all.

I experiecned one night that all hell broke loose, God told me who and why, I cried out to God for an hour, but was destroyed in prayerlife for 2 days, it has gone down down ever since mentally.

I still believe he prayes against me, it is like being in prison, can some one please help me, tell me how I can get out, I want to live in what God has to me, did it before, had a mantel of many colors (joseph), I also believe that was the reason they wanted me out.

Ole

If you seen and had the coat of many colors as Joseph did, just remember what the Scriptures say and what happened. What the devil meant for bad, God turned around for good. It did not happen instantaneously though. I think it was 13 years I believe before Joseph really saw what God had was doing even though he remained faithful to the Lord in the meantime. He endured hardship many years before he got to the blessing and he also forgave his brothers.
