1. my prayer life don't work, 2. don't read my bible
I have a hard time believing this.
Ole, are you saying that you haven't just opened your mouth and said to God, "HELP"?
To say that your prayer life doesn't work is not true, it is working. This thread is working, people are praying for you. Just because you don't kneel down by your bedside or stretch yourself on the floor doesn't mean that your not praying. Your mind prays, your spirit prays. You can be praying while washing the dishes, working on the car, walking on the street. It's not location, it's not posture, it's your hearts cry to a loving caring Father. Religion has made praying to be something that is unreachable, and it's nothing to do with that. God is in us.
God may choose the location for intercessory prayer, or prayers that require deep movings in the Spirit. But just be yourself because God is just being Himself to you.
Just because your not reading your bible doesn't mean that you've lost touch with the LORD. Remember in the New Testament, all they had was the Old Testament. And they didn't even have books that they could carry around like we do, the majority of the people had to hear it via the priests. Reading a chapter a day may be good, but if you can just read a verse or two from where ever the LORD leads and have a bible in the bathroom and by your night table.
And whatever you do, don't condemn yourself because your not praying or reading your bible enough. This is such an easy thing to do because we lack so much and we are constantly looking at our shortcomings.
My prayer is always, "Father, create a desire in me to be willing to read your word with fear and adoration., And show me what real prayer is, a communion in the holy Ghost".
Now simply open your mouth and express your desires and express what you think of the LORD. If you love Him, tell Him. If you resent Him, tell Him and ask Him to help be free from it.
He is such a simple yet intelligent God and we treat Him like He is complicated. :-?

I hear ya brother, been there done that.
There are seasons that we go through, and there was a reason why you prayed for that length of time. When we pray like that the Holy Spirit is aggressively doing something in us that required us to aggressively prayed like we did.(Romans 8:13) We will pray like that again if need be.
I remember when I prayed and fasted for a good number of days, I enjoyed afflicting myself from ordinary things. I would love to do that again, but for me to try to fabricate something that was Spirit led would be fruitless, and for what purpose?
After years of condemning myself and years of fretting and being full of anxiety, I have come to the conclusion that God is not in a hurry to get things done, and why should I?
Thanks for posting and staying in there. |

something I believe God has said to me is, that if he is greater, I dont really have a problem with my situation. it is so easy to keep looking at the problems, but if you keep your eyes on God, the other theings go away. this is new to me, but I will come back to the forum when I see it in action to tell about it
God bless

I remember when the LORD spoke to me and told me that He had removed things out of my life that I wasn't even aware of. And I got to thinking about what He said and He was right. I had stopped going to certain places that were a comfort to me (even though it was also a place to possibly sin). The things that I used to say, stopped. I just got busy in the things of the LORD and kept my eyes on Him that these things just fell away. Paul says something about that.

Colossians 2:20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,(Touch not; taste not; handle not Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
"Which all are to perish with the using". |

12And the manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten of the old corn of the land; neither had the children of Israel manna any more; but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year. (Our land is Christ Himself).

The Corn, grapes, milk and honey....are the Riches that are in Christ Jesus.
1 Samuel 14:29 Then said Jonathan, My father hath troubled the land: see, I pray you, how mine eyes have been enlightened, because I tasted a little of this honey.
Psalm 34:8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
I look forward to hearing from you....I know we all do!

they prayed against me, they believe they are in their right to do it
It seems to me that whether this be real or imagined is irrelevant. Cultivate your own walk with the Lord. Work our your own salvation and trust the Him to be your defender. Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? Pray for your enemies. If you are God's child and they are speaking/praying evil against you they are in a fearful place. Pray for God to open their eyes and ask for his mercy toward them. If you are walking in obedience their prayers against you will not be effective.
Psalm 5:12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt thou compass him as with a shield Proverbs 26:2 Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow, an undeserved curse does not come to rest. Isaiah 54:17 This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD.........no weapon forged against you will prevail.
When Balaam agreed to go with Balak and curse Isreal, God filled his mouth with blessings instead. Numbers 23 v.8 How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied? v.11 And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether.
Numbers 23:23 Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!
"There is no witchcraft which works against God's people!"
Psalm 64 note what happens in verses 7&8 1 Hear me, O God, as I voice my complaint; protect my life from the threat of the enemy.
2 Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked, from that noisy crowd of evildoers.
3 They sharpen their tongues like swords and aim their words like deadly arrows.
4 They shoot from ambush at the innocent man; they shoot at him suddenly, without fear.
5 They encourage each other in evil plans, they talk about hiding their snares; they say, "Who will see them [a] ?"
6 They plot injustice and say, "We have devised a perfect plan!" Surely the mind and heart of man are cunning.
7 But God will shoot them with arrows; suddenly they will be struck down.
8 He will turn their own tongues against them and bring them to ruin; all who see them will shake their heads in scorn.
9 All mankind will fear; they will proclaim the works of God and ponder what he has done.
10 Let the righteous rejoice in the LORD and take refuge in him; let all the upright in heart praise him!
Stop looking behind you, keep your eyes in front, on that eternal prize and reward. Leave it to God to deal with the others. If God be for you the who can be against you?
Blessings Hope

Turn your eyes upon Jesus Look full in His wonderful face And the things of Earth will grow strangely dim In the light of His glory and grace.

| You that have prayed | | to you who have prayed, how do you discern my situation, what has God made you to pray about in what manner? has God told you anything?
the last two days I have been wornout, dont know if it is because there is a struggle, but that is what I have been thinking about if it could be that.
God bless
