The question many will bring up to defend their divorce (and remarriage) is that God did not join them together: they were not Christians at the time their vows were spoken, so therefore they are not bound to keep them.

Why would I have to defend my remarriage with that nonsense?
I can defend it with our Lords own words.
My ex committed fornication and so adultery was not an issue when I remarried.
Sorry, but its in the text no matter what some of you say.

What I see is yet again Christians who are too disinterested in actually doing the work necessary to find out if the remarried person was actually guilty or not and using their distortions of few pet passages to accuse those who did divorce justly and did not, by Jesus' own exception, commit adultery when they did 'marry another'.
